I’m sad that they have removed the Beta. I understand they need to do some work, and that lots of little issues have presented themselves. But, I’m sad. And I want to play some more.

First off, huge Halo fan here, but I learned my lesson with MCC. I’ll never pre-order again.
Not sure if I’ll pick up Halo 5 though. I miss the old Halo aesthetic/feel/charm, this is too future military and less fantasy sci-fi. Glad to hear some folks love it.

Have we forgotten MCC already? Buy the game on release day if you must but do not pre-order. It allows publishers to release half-finished games because they know a bunch of clowns already paid for it anyways.
Already pre-ordered, can’t wait to play the campaing
Beta for me was mostly frustrating, unsatisfying. But it had great potential, with a list of changes and if they implement the great feedback they’ve been getting from the community it’s going to be an outstanding addition to the series and really both capture (old) and create (new) that awesomeness that we fell in love with.
Never pre ordering again, companies have to learn that releasing a broken game is not acceptable, they won’t listen to our outrage, the only way we can affect their decision making is with our wallets. Pre-ordering plays a big part in whether the publisher thinks a release will accrue maximum profitability, that’s what it comes down to. If they’ve already made their money back and then some before development is even complete, they’ll release it early to hit a good sales window and not give a -Yoink-.
And sadly the only way the “not preordering” thing will work is if most of us do it. I’m sorry that you wont get your paedophile candy pre-order bonus but is a skull and a random armour permutation really worth it anyway?
I’m going to preorder it for me and all my friends just because its the best Halo game ever and I know it’ll drive the haters nuts.
