I’m mostly a campaign player, but I really enjoy play Castle Wars, then sometimes when I see Castle Wars is coming, I try to save Money for buy gold and play Castle Wars, when I saw that Castle Wars was going to be back in july 11, I prepared for that and one day before Castle Wars (10 july) I bought Gold (1 month)for play it, but then Castle Wars was not in the playslists, and since that day Castle Wars is not in the playlists, why you did that? You must advice when you will do that kind of changes, I dont have enough Money for get Gold much time, I wasted my Money this month, im sad.
Now I’m sad, too. 
Next time Castle Wars returns, I will buy you a month of Gold.

They list the upcoming playlists for the next month in the community update. You’ll need to follow those and then you’ll get a heads up on when it’s coming back.

Normally they do, but this last update showed outdated info. They changed the window for Castle Wars, but didn’t tell anyone. They just recently stated why in another thread here:

@lukapowa. I check that updates. Castle wars was announced in July 11. But they change that without advice

Hey Goenitzeb The next appearance of Castle Wars is August 8th. Latest update just said.
Play in customs, host a game or join one as there usually is a game or two going in customs. Also you should check out the bing/Microsoft rewards program. You can build enough points for a month of gold in a month and then you won’t have to spend your money on gold.
