Exactly my train of thought when it comes to this game being the first f2p game. If and when 343i add new and exciting addons than people will come back to experience the new.
I haven’t thought about it like this before, but I really like the idea and think that this makes much sense. I hope that whatever Forge truly looks like that its entirely free.

Honestly anyone expecting 343 NOT to butcher Infinite’s Forge in some way, shape, or form are deluding themselves to the nth degree. The entirety of Halo Infinite is a botched mess that STILL hasn’t gotten it’s crap together after 4 1/4 months! At this point in Halo 5’s lifespan it had Forge, SEVERAL major updates launched, and a multitude of bug fixes that went live.
Infinite is the definition of “A poor man’s Halo 5”.
I’m enjoying the game, and I try to be optimistic, but something that’s so anticipated being delayed constantly makes me sad ngl. I know delaying it is probably the better option, but c’mon! HOW LONG MUST HALO FANS SUFFER WITHOUT COMMUNITY CONTENT???
Where did this idea come from that Forge was slated for season 2? It has always been season 3.
