After watching the weapon tuning livestream, I’m pretty worried about this game’s pace. It seems far too easy to kill people now and I fear that matches will now just be slaughterhouses and people won’t be able to live more than two minutes. Hopefully it’s just the guy who was shown in the demo having a bad day when it comes to surviving, but if not… is Halo 4 really being fixed?
I wouldn’t worry If i were you , past Halo games were fast paced(excluding Halo Reach) , so making the kill times and the game experience closer to the classic will most people happy, I know I’ll be happier with this update.
Edit: And yes, Halo 4 is being fixed, slowly but surely!
I’m very happy with this coming tweaks, every past Halo was that fast paced excluding Reach.
Wow. I haven’t seen the Stream, but if it’s even easier to kill people, then that’s a terrible direction to go.
Halo 4 is already very fast paced. I find myself dying way more than in any other Halo game.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy the DMR won’t be a god weapon after the update, but I really don’t want to die every twenty seconds which I mostly doubt and hopefully won’t happen.
I just mean this out of possibility
The other games were faster than Halo 4 before June 3rd.
If you’ve ever played Halo 3 on maps like Guardian, then you’ll know that this is the pace halo should be played at. Infinity settings artificially increased the pace, but with more stripped down playlists like slayer pro, games can get stagnant really fast, especially since the only viable weapon is the dmr.

He’s right. The kill times for weapons right now are slower than they have been in any other Halo game. If none of the other games were too fast, I can guarantee this one won’t be.
They needed to speed it up in my opinion. I get bored having to chase kills around the map personally.
It’s nice that Spartans are tough and all but the pace of the game seems to be a little too slow compared to what it use to be.
Just going to have to get back into the action quick to pick up kills if you go down and stay away from players that are dominating.
They should keep parts of it separated… I really don’t like my games lasting 30 sec to 5 min. that’s why I mostly played objective and stayed away from fast paced games.
if they buff all the weapons up to the dmr the kill times will pretty much be on par with halo 2…
I really don’t understand you people, you worship halo 2 for how good and fast paced it is…yet you hate that halo 4 is going to be fast paced?
I think if they speed up the gunplay, then they need to slow down the “meta” stuff, like instant respawns. If everything is as fast as possible, then things might be too fast.

Certainly wouldn’t be a bad idea. Now that the weapon are a lot stronger, I wonder if they’ll consider buffing the shield recharge time and speed.
I agree Halo 4 is already to fast, and instant respawn doesn’t help the new gun buff at all.

That’d be an interesting change. At times, it feels like it’d be faster to die and respawn than to wait for one’s shields to recharge.
They are attempting to return to Halo’s roots: a game that requires skill to play. Yes, it should be getting better.
Not really, OP. It depends on the game. Usually when i play BTB slayer, matches last a good 7 to 8 minutes.

It’s not that for the most part, but I guess since I started Halo at Reach, I’ve become accustomed to slow gameplay regarding Halo.
I just simply like to live and stay alive in any video game
The speed will be no different than if everyone is using a DMR in a given game since they are basically balancing all of the weapons around the DMR. If you don’t want to die, I recommend thinking before sprinting (this is going to get a lot of people in trouble since you can’t shoot for a second when stopping a sprint) and working on your angles to safely maneuver around the map.

Halo 4 has the slowest kill times of any Halo game besides Reach. Fact.
