I’ve played Halo for over ten years. Networked my internet to play H1 over XBC back in the day before anyone heard of xbox live. Put up with the garbage mental F***up that was H2 and lived the glory days of H3 when it was like a freaking event.
I’ve tried to support H4 in everyway I could. I love this franchise because it has entertained me more than anything else. I don’t watch movies anymore, I don’t listen to any music beside orchestral scores anymore. I don’t even bother with TV because I think reality shows are for the mentally limited.
Gaming is my last real entertainment, and you know what fine folks of waypoint? I’m done with it too. I’m tried of this Call of Duty mentally everybody has now when playing any FPS. I’m F***ing disgusted by it. And now that is all Halo has become.
A no skilled tryhard game. With jetpacks. I’m done, I’m done getting killed by A -Yoink!- AR WHEN IT HAS NEVER SUPPOSE TO BEEN GOOD. THAT’S THE POINT 343 IT ISN’T SUPPOSE TO BE A GUN YOU RELY ON. How you and bungie go from the perfect balance the AR had in H3 to this -Yoink- drives me up the wall.
I’m done, I’m done with the -Yoink- you did in a noble but limited effort to change Halo and bring it up to date. And YA BLEW IT. 343 is better than bungie. They gave us Reach, and didn’t care. They didn’t care about the gameplay, they didn’t care about the story. And 343 you’ve been trying, I know you have but this is the end for me I’m done, I’m sorry but this game IS NOT HALO ANYMORE. This is almost like some half–Yoink- version made by some casual gamers.
It pains me, it honestly does to see Halo and now Xbox go from being THE dominant force in gaming to being a joke. I’ve invested all this time and money and the one thing I’m gonna hate hearing 20 years from now is that Halo was a fad. After all it has done for gaming, a fad. That makes me want to strangle Jason Jones, and his stupid team at Bungie.
I quit, as much as I always said I’d go down with the ship I cannot stand halo being regarded as a franchise that has gone downhill or flat out sucks now because of what? a change of hands. 343 got the short end of the stick because Bungie didn’t care. 343 needed more time, more organization more study. They didn’t, and now in all worst case scenarios is going to be nothing but bombarded with negativity that will ultimately destroy this franchise.
And I can’t stand it. I’d sooner quit gaming than buy a PS4, I’d sooner cut my hand off then play CoD or any other shooter. They are all GARBAGE. Every. Last. One. Of. Them.
Halo is the only game that GOT IT RIGHT. I have nothing else to play, all my other favorite games are single player only and I’ve played them to death. I’ve grown tried of the online community, I’ve grown tried of this cheep -Yoink- play styles everyone uses today and I’m tried of dying by a weapon that has never been designed to kill a player without any effort.
I’m done, I don’t care about tomorrows patch because the Pistol still takes too many shots to kill, the AR NEEDS TO BE NERFED, the vehicle play still sucks, The SAW is OP and the boltshot is still in the game and so is the jetpack.
I’m done. If H5 get’s Halo back to where it needs to be and is once again the top played game for the year/s Ill be front and center. But I’ve enjoyed this franchise too much to see it continue down this path of destruction and unskillful cheep play behavior to continue going. I’m done playing video games.
