Since there’s nothing but negativity in this deranged community, I’m going to stop coming here at this point. People are so on-edge about all of the blatant problems that they don’t give 343 a chance to do anything; I’m not blaming them for this out-rage, no, I’m blaming everyone BUT them; the community here I’ve lost respect for months because of how impatient they all are over something that 343 is trying to achieve for all of us. Yes, the multiplayer aspect needs fine tuning and plenty of changes but that doesn’t mean that y’all need to act like hateful children over this, it’s truthfully pathetic and disappointing that this is even happening. I get it, everyone is super excited that Infinite is practically here, but that doesn’t mean that most of you need to hate them for what they’re doing to the pvp portion; it’s a beta for a reason, things will change for the better and you people are wanting to cause a riot over unplayable and grindy aspects that they realize. Hell, I stopped playing the beta because of the reasons that you are throwing a riot over, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to hate them for it, I’m giving them time to fix the issues that are seen so far. Truthfully, I understand why everyone is laying waste to them and not giving ACTUAL helpful feedback, I get it, it’s frustrating, but that doesn’t mean that this website needs to become an echo of what r/ Halo just went through with all of it’s negativity, I don’t want to see that happen to here, but at this point, I don’t even care, if you people want that to happen, let it, watch 343 shut down this site, see what happens, I’m out. Don’t enjoy Halo Infinite, play something else and stop acting like you’re the only one with an issue. Stop acting entitled, give them space. You are adults, I’ve seen worse in Halo 5’s community.
Come back soon. The drama will die down eventually, for one reason or another.
I doubt it, but hopefully you’re right.
calling the only place people have to give the devs feedback on their “product” a community is nonsense. treating it like so is even worse.
Or you could stay and spread some positivity
ok, close the door on the way out. We’ll continue to try and change the game for the better without you o/
Y’all are soft as hell. Byeeeeee!
Don’t get me wrong, I would love to help make this community better, I’m sure that all of the good folks of this franchise would, but some of the people here are just straight up entitled about their experience not being perfect on minute 1. I’m unsure where this hatred even comes from or why they’re this bloody rude to the developers to where their shaming the absolute piss out of them for zero reason; it’s a bit shameful to see that these dedicated individuals go above and beyond to call 343 out just for trying to get their game out the front door. I mean, I understand the frustration towards it with the multiplayer being extremely half-baked, but COME ON, there is no need to be so extreme. That’s all, I just wish that some of these people actual knew how to control their anger towards them to actually give constructive feedback instead of doing acts of cyber-terrorism; it’s unethical.
Believe it or not, people expect a complete product when they buy a game. Not a microtransaction-riddled, predatory monetisation scheme filled experience. I for one would like to get the chance to unlock all the armour modules I was promised, without having to grind for 17 wins or 7 kills with a damn needler. Very few people are being entitled with their experience, it’s 98% justified complaints about the dumpster fire of progression, which people said would be a terrible idea way before launch, but they went ahead with it anyway. They are rude to developers because they have only ever been rude to the fans. The majority of people are giving constructive feedback, but after the statement that caused the Reddit meltdown, the devs deserve a bit of back-talk and rudeness. They need a reality check.
TLDR: Good riddance.
It won’t end. Waypoint forums in Halo 5 era were legit worse than Twitter in 2020. And it’s doing it again. Enjoy the game at least.
Someone engaged in cyber-terrorism on the forum?
Naa better he leave, nothing of value will be lost…
stop attention-seeking and just leave, why make a thread about your departure like it even matters? and you are?
Sorry that you feel so disappointed right now, despite witnessing a particular outcome [this amount of backlash] that 343i continues to incite through their course of action and words, hence the Reddit meltdown (as if Ske7ch’s statement couldn’t be any better). The point is that you clearly should have seen all of this coming some time ago, such that you wouldn’t feel “depressed”.
I admire the attempt to suggest of trying to ease things out a little here, and I do get that there are these “radicals” on our side, but I wouldn’t expect such a platitude like that to make it very far when this player-base has already dealt with a company that has constantly threw them under the bus and failed them numerous times in the past. 343i would of always been better off leaving none of this carnage to chance and we wouldn’t have to be in this situation in Halo Infinite if they actually listened to the community regarding things like the progression system and so on.
I don’t think it’s a coincidence people started making these threads here after the Halo subreddit got locked down. If you’re leaving fine. You don’t need to write an essay about it though because no one cares.
Come back in 9 months. Then these babies will be gone.
I knew the day I beat Halo 5 I would be waiting at least 3 years for a Halo game I could MAYBE enjoy. I waited 6 for this?
I’ve been waiting 6 years for a Halo game. I don’t think I complained in a forum once even though I was pissed about the delay last year.
How many other industries can get away with selling half finished products, sometimes even broken ones the way the video game industry can? I would like to know. Don’t worry everyone, they will finish it later! They have a huge luxury in this regard. It’s a horrible practice that lots of studios and publishers abuse and normalize to the woe of us all.
You’re absolutely right. That is probably when the game will finally represent a finished product.
All babies take 9 months to be born. Including this game.
