Tip for you to visually see the enemy team better, change the enemy team colour setting under UI to pineapple yellow it’s really bright can’t miss them then
Thanks for the tip, i already did that and it really helps. I’ll also turn off all the additional video effects. Maybe that’ll make it less stressful.
I did that and it does help, unless, your in protect the zone. The colour around the zone area freaks out the outlines. Oh well, I suppose I can’t have everything LOL
I’m absolutely going to have to try that. I’m all for the customization, but if I’m on a red team and any one of my teammates armor is colored red, he eats most of my ammo.
OK…so yesterday i‘ve played 10-15 matches and i‘ve only won ONE of them.
All the other matches we were getting our -Yoink!- kicked, with ME being at the top of the leader board on my team.
I don‘t want to brag, i just want to show you how bad the rest of the team must‘ve been.
That got me thinking: How does the matchmaking in Infinite work? Is it SBMM (one sided mind you) or is it just random and i got unlucky because i‘ve got -Yoink!- on?
It is still fun though but something tells me, that the matchmaking is off.
I’m 31 now and I can honestly still play the the standards I was able to play when I was 19, and I’ve always been good at multiplayer shooters. Lucky I guess.
My friend that I mostly play with is 37 and unfortunately he’s completely lost it. Spectating him his reaction times are kind of comical to me.
Hating the idea that this will be my fate soon enough haha
I am 48 years young and after reading many of the comments here worries me a little and it is inevitable once the strength/quick reflexes/awareness we had will go away for sure. My 16 year son and 18 years nephew’s halo game play is far better than mine. I think continuous playing with high performing players has forced me to keep pace. ‘Work less play more’ is still my motto
. I play with some senior players than me and they truly struggle to keep pace. Keep playing Spartans!
I’m certainly not where I used to be. The eyes are fuzzy and the knuckles are slow. I am seriously considering getting one of those expensive controllers, with the buttons underneath. Not so much because I’m looking to be a pro, but so my knuckles don’t ache as much.
This is maybe it. I have been using the Elite controller,
now the V2, for a couple of years, and I highly recommend it. I don’t think I’d have to dexterity to do the button hopping without those paddles anymore. My hands do definitely hurt quite a lot after an hour or two as well
There is a Turtle Beach controller out there that‘s supposed to be way better than the OG Xbox controller.
It comes in at $60,- and i‘ll give it a try.
It‘s also wired with a 3 m cable, so input lag shouldn‘t be a problem.
I’ve had an elite controller for five years. I’m convinced it’s more of a help to me as an older gamer than it is for a player in his prime.
The paddles underneath are a must. And remapping buttons, joysticks, bumpers to any other button or paddle. Game changer.
I really don’t understand how they have to test them in events and work on them. these have all been modes that have been in prior halo games and should have 100% been in from the start. what is there to work out except for to just implement them into game they not reinventing the wheel and making something from the ground up. it’s just complete bs and really just shows that they honestly had no intention from the start to add new modes or If they did they were probably planning on making them paid. this whole game going f2p leading them to this crap progression system and cosmetic/shop just to milk players is exactly what I was worried about. the monetization is soo grimy… like somethings can only be bought with real money what happpened to saying it was going to be like reach customization. I should be able to purchase everything with in game currency and everything should be unlockable and these armor core bs is the dumbest thing ever. they shouldn’t be locked I should be able to put w.e equipment on that I want and mix and match and adjust the colors not just some crap pallete swap… the game is fun but I’m beyond disappointed with the customization and just the greetings of trying to get money from people and the lack of maps and playlists and legacy weapons. why remove the og shotty for this garbage bulldog… most of the new weapons are terrible the pulse carbine and disruptor and commando are all pretty much worthless… add more weapons in bring back more covenant and promethian weapons… I would have much rather have paid full price for the game and gotten the campaign and multiplayer and able to unlock all the cosmetics and have all the modes and weapons like h3 and reach without paying thousands of real money for a -Yoink!- armor piece or shader that can only work on one armor core that I don’t even use, who the hell thought that was a good idea? it’s just bs and I feel this is such a bait and switch. we shouldn’t support terrible business practices like this. it’s ruining the game and the industry. I hope they continue to listen to people to change all this crap that they originally planned to just milk people cause the game won’t last long If they don’t. I’m in my 30s and have been playing halo since day 1 with halo ce and I’m just beyond disappointed at how it’s turned out and it’s just a cash grab instead of living up to promises and making a good game. I seriously hope all this stuff gets listened too and gets changed
43, “old” ! … hahaha. I’m 66. As I always say, if it ain’t broken don’t fix it. H5 was just fine with the customizations and everything else. BTW is WZ and WZFF going to be added? I hope so. My reflexes are too slow to compete in the ranked games. BTB doesn’t cut it! I need the Base to go hide in when I’m getting my butt stomped… lol
I will definitely look into that. Having to constantly move off the thumbsticks, is a hassle. If I had some paddles/buttons underneath, I could map them out and I think it would be a huge help. Even just the 2 buttons on the front is causing me grief. I see players holding their controllers, so they have 4 fingers at the front of the controller, a finger over all 4 of the buttons. I have tried this and the knuckles on my little fingers start to burn with pain, especially the smashed up right hand. Getting older the eyes are getting fuzzy and the hands are getting seized up. I probably shouldn’t be surprised though, after nearly 5 decades of playing video games, I’m amazed that I don’t have carpal tunnel syndrome and I should be happy that my retinas haven’t burnt off the back of my eyeballs.
King of the Hill !!! I’m same with Warzone and Warzone Firefight, I really hope we get them in Infinite.
Hot damn, 66? Same age as my dad but he is overburdened with using his iPhone already. I can‘t imagine him playing Halo!
Keep on doing what you’re doing!
Dude, what you said about the weekly challenges resonates with a lot of other people too, not just ‘old folks’
I don’t think it’s crazy to feel that these weekly challenges are taking anywhere from 2-5 times longer to complete than the MCC weekly challenges do.
I don’t think that’s how it should be. It should be closer in time commitment.
hahaha… That’s how my uncle is. He has an iphone, took him 2 years to learn to how to use everything. He’s 84 now. I’ve been in computers (IT) since 1992. We always played PC games. Doom was the first on PC we all played together. Dial up modems. I’ve owned just about every gaming console man ever created. I never stopped playing video games… lol
Classic Halo is better. Halo 5 is better
