I'm okay with smart scope.

From the few hours I’ve been playing, I can’t really see any problems with it.

I’m not really being “penalized” from not aiming-in because “normal” shooting is already extremely accurate.

At the most, I’m getting a small accuracy bonus with the AR and the SMG. Even then, it’d only be practical at mid-range where I’d be floored if I were facing a BR or a DMR.

It’s a bit like the Silenced SMG’s zoom. Sure, it improves your aim, but it’s nothing game-breaking.

Now, is smart-scope influenced from other shooters like BF or COD? Probably.

Does smart-scope break the traditional gun-play formula? Definitely not.

I personally can’t stand it. It feels very jarring and out of place. When I think of why it’s there only frustrates me more. It feels like it was jammed in there soley to please the COD players.

The pistol especially is very awkward feeling. I Can’t stand the scope on that thing at all.

i don’t understand. Why can’t 343 leave scoping alone? It worked fine for tons of Halo games, and they insist on fixing what wasn’t broken.

I’m liking it. Don’t see issues with it at all.

Didn’t expect it would work well, but smart scope feels like a great addition because it means the AR is effective at longer ranges and can compete with the BR/DMR.
Maybe Halo 5 won’t devolve into nothing but BRs. That would be a miracle

Yeah, the pistol’s scope is crap. I just don’t use the smart scope with it.

Personally, they got the scoping just right in Halo Wars.

I hated the second I saw the trailer. I ended up actually liking it. A lot. I’m not a huge fan of the pistol scope. I’m actually better without using it. I really like how you can get by just fine without it most of the time too. I scope in with the BR and just leave it unscoped if I get hit.

I agree. If they just switch the controls around it would be perfect.

I really like the smart scope so far. It really does feel like the old zoom but with a new skin. I am very happy that descope has returned as well.
