im ok with CSR not being just W/L

I believe the new CSR will take into account your kills and death and some other things but, Some people are upset over this but why? only reason i can think of is because they know they are not good enough on their own to get a 50 with out another team mate carrying them? or am i missing something else?

Yes you are.

First a history lesson:

Reach arena worked with a rating system based on your individual performance, that means kills, deaths and assists. It was however later changed, your rank in the arena was only based on W/L rather than your individual performance.

End of history lesson.

The thing with using personal stats for ranks is that it shifts focus from the team to the individual. It becomes an FFA game where you can’t shoot three guys, or how big the teams are.

A team game is supposed to be played as a team, not lone wolves.

I didn’t play the arena that much because of the individal stat tracking, played it more later when it was changed.

I experienced a lot of players killing me for power weapons so they could get more kills themselves and get a better rating. We could lose because of that sometimes as well. That’s not team play, that’s a selfish lone wolf in a team game. Something I barely experienced in Halo 2, Halo 3 or the Reach arena after it was changed to using W/L only.

Another point by using anything else than W/L, it doesn’t tell someone how good you are, it tells people who much you are able to pad those stats. W/L tells your ability to win, and that includes everything there is in skill.
