… That it clearly deserves. It is without a doubt the best shooter of 2015. The reason I’m in doubt of halo getting this well earned title is because of the things that players have been complaining about since day one that still haven’t gotten changed or fixed like the radar, fov being far too narrow (having a larger radar would combat the narrow field of view. And besides, you can change field of view in forge I think. Why not implement that into visual settings?), aim acceleration still exists and there is no way to disable it, and there are more but this isn’t an angry rant. Just a rant of disappointment because I don’t think the halo community will ever return to its former glory. Obviously something was working back then that isn’t working now. What is it? I still like halo I don’t want to see if fall.
The issues you’re complaining about are issues that a very, very small subset of the population care about.
That subset already bought the game.
The reason Halo 5 won’t get the attention you think it deserves, is because the matchmaking is horrific and the ranking is nonsensical. Together, those issues create an experience where new and lapsed players are thrown into an experience that’s not particularly well explained, and are left to get beaten on until they give up and play something more fun.
Halo 5 has a great core of gameplay, without question.
It is also one of the least accessible games on the market, and at times, an experience that actively disrespects the player that paid $60 for the ‘privilege’ of playing it.
Few people, who aren’t already diehard fans based on a decade’s worth of previous titles, buy games to feel foolish.
