I'm Not Suprised Spartan IV's Suck

They arent even trained properly in war games they are taught to rely on ordnance drops coming down to help their team out meaning they are useless when pinned down with no support and are on their own . They are all trained to use whatever weapon they desire so if their designated weapon breaks / rans out of ammo on the field they cant swap mags with their fellow Spartans and they are left screwed or with a severe lack of ammo . Then they are taught to rely on their AA’s to many times to get them out of trouble when in a life-death situation . If their equipment failed they once again would be screwed or left inexperienced . I feel that the spartan II’s would destroy them , they are trained to survive even when their equipment craps out on them and they are left having to use their bare instincts .

Well, they weren’t kidnapped at birth. They have a giant ship to support them, and they have terrible armour, what do you expect?

Only Master Chief has better armour then them , also yes but what happens if the get out of range or are in to hot a situation to have backup. As for being kidnapped from birth I never expect them to be as good but not as bad as they are in H4

They basically only get deployed in range of the ship, and they are basically marines in power suits.

Also, I’m pretty sure all of the 2s, and 3s Spartans have better armour than the 4s.

Well if the CGI Spartan Ops cutscenes are anything to go by, Spartan IV’s have 2000% damage 24/7, and can kill anything in 2 or 3 shots regardless of what weapon they have.

Well except when it’s an actual important target like Halsey, anyway.

So they are always only in one set location at a time , must be pretty easy to just bomb them all then

false. read Ghosts of onyx. S-IV armor is still better as far as power is concerned. the SPI (Semi-Powered Infiltration) armor is designed only for stealth and is much thinner, and lighter than the S-IV armor is. Only better for stealth, nothing more.

Please, nobody fall for this

Noble team is the exception to the rule tho.

i would like to point out the fact in the halo campaign, i really hate it at one part where
you’re the chief and you first see spartan IV’s and they dont even look at you, and he gets treated like any other spartan, the Chief is the Demon, he is a hero and he isnt even second looked by terrible Spartan IV’s
i really dont like how they introduced spartan IV’s to be equal almost to the chief, they are basicly marines in some terribly designed armour
and all during campaign and spartan ops ingame all use the recruit armour.
i see spartan IV’s as the new ODST style troops, its insulting to even call them spartans.
the only spartan i give credit to is Sarah palmer, she feels like the only real spartan IV in the hole game

I genuinely hope this thread actually filled to the brim with humorless sarcasm.

Worse armour? Gen 2 Armour has really nice stuff. Where are you even getting that from?

They already have their basic training as a non-spartan plus the war games can be set to a number of different scenarios.

Plus hey, crimson team escaped lockup and rescued marines as well as took a phantom.

Ya I actually forgot about the other 3s, I only remembered noble. My mistake.

For armour, I was comparing Chiefs from 3 to multiplayer armour, with no perks. Chief’s is clearly better.

canonically speaking and timeline wise, they are not S-III’s, seeing as spartan III’s didnt come about until after “Flood” (halo 1 basically) which was quite a bit after fall of reach (btw fall of reach was MC and his squad).

yes they were called spartan III’s but in my mind they are not spartan II’s (if they are even that because jorge was the only S-II in the squad according to the game)

but then again looking at dr halsey’s journal they were a squad she never knew of. but at this point in halo history they could not have been Spartan-III’s if you want to adhere strictly to the timeline of the story.

War Games can be specially tuned to replicate whatever combat scenario.

But if irl OUR War Games was considered canon, War Games is more of a sport than an actual training simulation in the Halo universe.

Quote from one of my threads:

> My thoughts:

> War games is a poor simulator. Sure, Spartans need there exercise and training but with War games it seems to much like a sport or athletic event to be taken seriously. While it may be fun and competitive for the Spartan its not good prepartion for fighting the Covenant, Promtheans or even the Insurrectionist.

> Now if we had Invasion, then that would be a good simulator in War Games that is actually good prep against the covenant. We could of even had a Promethean Version that would have made the mode unique toward Halo 4.

This guys right.
I think you guys are just a bunch of bust hurt fanboys just staying on the bungie spartan wagon.
343 made spartan all over and most people hate it. Pft, idk about you guys but this is awesome. I like the thought of me being a spartan too.
I’m pretty sure the war games simulations are just for practice and to keep the Spartans agile and always having practice with multiple weapons. Obviously they aren’t all just a bunch of noobs, did any of yous play spartan ops? Because with your knowledge of the new Spartans, I’m assuming you’ve all only played matchmaking.

They are spartans. Only difference is they have insane amounts of arrogance(*cough palmer). And yes, they are a little bit worse than pervious spartan 2s and 3s. Hence, to make up for it, they use AAs’ and ordnance to compensate. Anyone remember this line from the Halo 3 instruction manual? ‘Spartans are trained to use any weapon on the battlefield, human or otherwise. This philosophy and training means that resupply is just one victory away’. Spartan IVs’ are not trained for that, hence ordnance.
And I think it should stay that way for now.
