Before I begin this post, just know. I Love Halo. Its inspired my entire life, Chief is a heroic idol who I look up to and inspires my every day life!! My growing skills in the game help me to become a better leader and puzzle solver. however this evening I genuinely for the first time, took the game out … and played Minecraft … MINECRAFT!!!
I’m simply not having fun anymore, and don’t seem to be able to find anything to change my mind!
Halo feels so serious now. Heck they are even making good old big team battle ranked? Guess there will be no more BTB heavy’s as we don’t want to upset the pro’s right? The reason I play Halo is because no matter how much I played, Forge, Competitive, custom games, campaign speed runs or LASO’s. It was still fun! I mean even Destiny has loads of content now, but i still don’t enjoy it, In fact I found it a chore! I’m a pretty good halo player, i have onyx ranks in most the playlists, but when I just want to go and have a nice fun game of shotty snipers … I get completely “-Yoinked!-”. Over, and over, and over again. I play alright, but i feel like the players I’m against are far beyond my skill level! Especially when my team don’t contribute and i’m carrying us to defeat anyway. so then I lose my rank Yeah I could get a team together, but sometimes they arn’t online? OK so i’ll turn to Warzone. Bad move. Warzone is yet again another team co-coordinated game mode. I guess people can reply with “Winning isn’t everything its just the fun of the game” but 9/10 if your against a successfull team, they are going to be getting REQ points quicker and soon have equipment i can’t put up a fight with! No longer becomes fun. Ok so that’s multiplayer out the window? Guess i’ll go play forge and build a base for my te… oh wait nvm. That’s ok I’ll go do some infection with my frie… oh -Yoink- my bad. Well. Guess i’ll just stare at the JPEG infinity with a GIF Planet background till my friends come on.
I don’t want to hate this game but i’m coming off it really down because I’m not being matched in fun games!! Good old team slayer with random players some good and bad, win some lose some not get completely slaughtered TEN GAMES IN A ROW!?!?
Not sure if anyone else is feeling like this but feel free to reply if you have any advice on how to look at this game or if your experience same doubts
Oh my god!!! Finally someone who understands me completely!!! I came back after 5 months not playing Halo. Back in January I was king of the game just slaying everyone and I loved the game so much. But I got back on the game 2 days ago to find that everything changed, and on top of that I completely lost my touch. I kept telling myself I’ll get it back and when I do it becomes fun again. Then today, I got back on to find that there is never a moment in multiplayer where I can just sit back and relax and play the game. The online has me on the edge of my seat most of the time and not because I’m so immersed, it’s just so I can keep my rank. There is no social playlist anymore like there was in Halo 3. God I miss those days, why is it so competetive now?? I just want to kick back and not have every match I play ranked with a K/D ratio… i don’t know, if I can’t find a game that I can just relax and play soon I might stop gaming in general.

Find a different game to play. Thats what I did and thats how I realized halo 5 sucks even more than I thought

These poor misguided souls. If only they would learn. If only they would free themselves of the burden that is giving a -Yoink- about wins, rank, and KD.
