…I really, REALLY don’t want the only remake in Halo 4 to be another Blood Gulch rehash.
I am probably a minority in this situation, but I just really don’t find that map fun at all…
I liked it in CE, I liked Coagulation in Halo 2, I liked Valhalla, they put a spin onto a great map.
But by reach it was just getting stale, If 343i is going to make a game that is “their own halo” they should not include a remake of Blood Gulch.
and for all of you that are going to say “It has been in every halo except for ODST, so it HAS to be in Halo 4!” I see your point, but that is the exact reason why the small minority of people who don’t want it back, don’t want it back.
I hate to say this, but any variation of Blood Gulch is too old and stale for this new generation of Halo.

I also agree. It’s time to let it sleep. Perhaps, some time in the future, it’ll be time to bring it back again. But not yet.
I agree, the whole blood gulch remake trend died in halo reach. If they are going to remake any map, it should be Avalanche. But if they do end up remaking blood gulch in halo 4, then it needs to be amazing.

Ditto, I personally liked Hemorrhage but the Gulch is getting old

And out of curiosity, where have people learned that the remake is supposedly a map not currently on the 360, I’ve been seeing this a lot lately.
Well, as much as I love the gulch I agree. I think they could make a new map however, that is a “spiritual successor”. Take the basic concept of blood gulch, but put a new spin on it. Much like what Bungie did with Valhalla, awesome map wasn’t stale, yet it had the basic concept of blood gulch. So a new more Valhalla-ish map would be the way to go if they want IMO.
Agreed, blood gulch has had enough remakes to last a lifetime.

It’s not necessarily confirmed it wont be a 360 map. When Halo Anniversary was coming out 343 said a few times that when it comes to remakes they would like to stick with maps that you can’t already play on 360. They were specifically talking about Anniversary of course, but people are thinking that they may have the same mindset when it comes to Halo 4.
Maybe a remake of it in Halo 6 but in forge so it’s not a main map. I am just so sick and tired of gulch. Everyone votes for it which annoys me.
I’m hoping for Sandtrap to be the remake but a little larger to accompany the Mammoths. They’re at least three times the size of an Elephant.

Finally someone besides me brings up sidewinder, geez, I’ve been screaming for this since the official announcement.

I honestly don’t think you are. I think most people don’t want another Blood Gulch remake. I know I don’t.
I could never get tired of Gulch. How dare you speak such blasphemy!
The only maps I would like to see re-made for 4 are as follows:
The Pit
Guardian
Narrows
Construct
Foundry
That’s it.
