Why should the power weapons have random spawn times and indicators ?
‘The point of this is to make sure experienced players won’t dominate matches by running timed circuits to grab all the best goodies.’
That’s pretty much bs to me.
When I used to start out in Halo I used to get my butt kicked every time, but I learned from my mistakes, learned the spawns, etc.
And don’t think I dislike this because I just want to dominate kids, but doing this just creates weak gamers.
By giving inexperienced players some goodies that can make them win even if they’re not skilled.
Same thing goes with perks and loadouts, people like Halo because it’s Halo and not COD.
Just look at COD, they have a ton of perks and loadouts and have a look at what kind of sh*tstorm it causes every time.
Perks are the same thing, what I liked about Halo is how it was about skill.
If you’re good, you win, if you’re bad, you lose, it’s simple like that.
And I don’t want to lose a br battle with someone just because he has better perks, that would be stupid.
I, and a load of other people hated Halo Reach’s loadouts, just look how unsuccesfull Reach is in comparison to H3.
And yet they decide to push it even further.
I hunger so much for H4 and a decent Halo again, but I feel like I put my hopes up too high.
I stopped reading your post after this line. Logic should tell you that fans of a franchise gradually leave that franchise as time goes by, and the fan base is sustained by newcomers; it makes no sense not to cater to them in some way.
Well, Frankie’s stated several times now that the indicators will be for a specific unannounced gametype.
As far as random spawn timers? I’ve only seen one article stating this, and even so there’s no evidence that these wont be playlist/game type specific either.
This really applies to any and ALL gameplay changes we have seen/heard about so far. So just calm down gais, just wait for some more info.
I read the article about the random weapon spawns, and I can tell you the article does not confirm nor deny random weapon spawn, only that it may be in the game.
As for perks, we don’t know what they are or how they are implemented into the game, so don’t jump to conclusion right away, wait until we have more reliable information.

I am pretty sure no-one wants customizable loadouts. Why would you put this into Halo Frankie? You said it yourself, Halo is a sandbox shooter! That means players spawn equally.
so your complaining that some noob can pick up a power weapon and own you with it? it sounds like your butt hurt because you cant pick the power weapons up in time like we did for past Halo games thus ruining your chances of owning these noobs. If you are skilled player no matter what you still will be good at it.
> The way they are catering compels vets to leave.
Veterans will always leave. If the average Halo veteran was in high school at the time that the first game was released, then they are now at an age where they are getting married, having children, and working full time jobs. Catering the game solely to the few that are left makes very little fiscal sense.
