I'm Not Buying Halo 4 anymore

I have been playing halo since halo 2. I have seen all the cutscenes of the campaign and I will say it is one of my favourite halo stories yet (coming right behind halo 2). Other than that, this game is a disgrace to the halo series.

The MP (I’ve played it my friends house) is garbage and feels nothing like halo. PODs ruin the game and BTB sucks with all the weak vehicles. It is completly noob friendly and im not paying $60 for this game if the only thing worthwhile is the campaign.

Spartan Ops may have cool cutscenes, but the missions themselves are extremely repetive and are terribly written. And the fact that cant even play them without a GOLD membership degrades the value of this game even more.

Until 343 decides to make TU to fix the crappy MP and make episodes 6-10 in SPOPS not so bad, I won’t be buying the game. I think id prefer to get games like Mass Effect trilogy and Far Cry 3 which offer great replay value for both offline and online gamers alike.

I mean seriously, what can someone do in Halo 4 if they dont have or want gold?
Play a 6 hour campaign and play 4player splitscreen and forge. At least far cry 3 offers 30 hours of campaign, alongside a separate coop mode that can be played OFFLINE, and a map editor and a mission creater. Even black ops 2 (which i will never buy) has more offline options for their players.

HERE IS A TABLE FOR REFERENCE TO SHOW YOU WHAT HALO 4 HAS TO OFFER COMPARED TO OTHER GAMES:

>Halo 4
-6 hour campaign (good story)
-SPOPs (repetitive, with good CGI cutscenes, requires gold)
-MP (boring, noob friendly, and not fun)
-Forge (cool, but lack of good maps and new items)

>Black ops 2 (dont want it, but i will say that it still has more and better options)
-Campaign with choices
-Zombies (3 different modes, all available with LIVE and 4 player splitscreen)
-MP (can be played online or offline with BOTS)

>Mass Effect trilogy
-75 hours of story
-Comes with extra DLC
-MP (does require a online pass and gold, but there a 4 free dlc packs for it and even without the MP, 75 hours of story is alot more than any game offers for this price)

>Far Cry 3
-30 hour campaign with open world fun
-Separate Coop campaign that can be played solo, splitscreen or online
-MP (not too interesting but whatever)
-Map editor
-Mission creator, which you can make your own levels with enemies, animals (over 40 different ones) and vehicles

I wouldn’t know. I enjoy playing Halo 4 on my stack of gold. Its cozy on my tush.

im just saying, halo 4 offers very little for players with silver compared to other games

i do agree, i went through a move (moved to canada) and didnt have internet but i wanted to play Halo4 thinking spartan ops would be playable and that there would be more options for offline so i convinced my brother to help buy it at the midnight release. Played it for around 10 hours and basically finished everything i was restricted to doing… ended up being a huge waste of 60$ and even though i despise CoD i have to admit that BOP2 is so much more “anyone friendly”. Halo 4 feels like its made for people who arent even old enough to purchase the game. This is my opinion…

played it enough at my friends to judge the MP, and watched the entire campaign on youtube. i know enough about this game trust me

He dosn’t have to buy it to do a review - look at all the review sites, you think they purchase games?

Look at IGN - judging by the scores they give out for some games, they don’t appear to even play them.

That might be true, but you would have to play the game to make a GOOD review. Sure, you can hate the game. But if you haven’t even played it and judge everything off of clips and other site’s ratings on the game, then the review is pretty… useless. No hard feelings OP. You do make some valid points.

He did state this in his original post. He gave his opinion based on what he played at his friends house. Its a legitimate opinion. As legitimate as mine or yours.
