I'm negative but still happy about Infinite

I’ve a lot of critics to deliver to this new chapter: from the gameplay, to the story that we know to finally the philosophy behind Infinite.

However even if as an hardcore halo fan as me this game probably won’t give the feels that I’d like to feel in a new halo game, I’m also happy that after so many years (it seems like a whole life) halo is perhaps making a comeback in terms of magnitude of the game and popularity. I’m confident that the combo xbox + pc + f2p will give to halo a second youth.

It makes me happy to see the Halo community united and eager to play again. It is what matters in the end, that we all have a good time and are together.

Lol same, I never think I’ve ever actively complained so much about something that I like.

is it going to be popular for the right reasons though?
having a battle royale (im pretty certain at this point theres going to be one) makes infinite a good halo?
popular ≠ good

Well they confirmed that its not going to be at launch, so that’s good at least.

When I first started playing I started wondering if this was the Halo I wanted. After playing for the entire weekend I realized it was after I stopped caring about if the game was like Halos of old. For me, Halo Infinite is as if Halo 3 never stopped reiterating and making itself better. I was looking for a slight improvement meanwhile it was drastic.

I understand why people are concerned about the simple nuances like outlines, bugs, and melee distances. They already stated they are fixing the shield break mechanic so I wouldn’t be surprised if they made some improvement by the next flight.

It means you care, and that’s why we point out what could make things better

Exactly. My only concern is some people feel like they have to be heard and their recommended changes HAVE to be made or else it will be bad.

I think some humility is in order, but people do have to be heard

They do however people feel like the only way you are heard is through action which is false. You can take in feedback and not apply it because of various reasons.

Agreed, they don’t have to do what you say and it’s not just your opinion that matters. And they could refuse certain changes for good reasons
