I'm more comedic than a hermit. But seriously, SBMM is hurting monetization

A magician was walking down the street and turned into a grocery store. Teehee.

I realised today (as someone who plays the game from the southern end of Australia) that the SBMM is negatively effecting the monetized aspects of this game.
To eloborate, I get a high SBMM rating, I get longer queue times (if I can even find a game in the first place), and that impacts my ability to complete challenges and progress the Battle Pass. Their matchmaking systems combined with a poor progression system completely derail my ability to get what I paid for with the Battle Pass. This is a serious issue. It borders on being a scam at the moment. It’s not a good look, and it’s not like I can get a refund.

343, I understand you have a lot going on, but this is something that seriously needs improvement.

sbmm is just a code word for “we don’t want people playing our games”

Bungie turned off SBMM in their Crucible multiplayer mode for Destiny 2 in all non-competitive playlists, everyone cheered. Why other developers are not doing the same is beyond me.

Everyone hates SBMM. People are constantly complaining about it. Yeah they insist on putting it in every game. They could turn it off at any time with the flip of a switch, but they won’t. It’s absurd.

That explains why it’s so miserable to play, getting instakilled by void hunters with shotguns and getting sniped at spawn by someone who never stops playing
