Yep, hopefully the other update today shows some improvements although my ping is usually 15ms and still have all the same issues as i do in the 80 or 150 ones
well, I’m going to check this out, but I’m not optimistic
Yea. That’s why (as of today) I’m thinking the “permanent desync” they discuss in the article is happening incredibly regular. Though I suppose players are usually moving at quick speeds when they’re enemies trying to melee each other.
At this point, I think the best we can hope for is more optimization and a region select soon
That’s right.
Doesn’t matter how “skillfull” you are if nothing registers correctly.
Oh, how I wish I had a 4 shot BR!
What @XEQoot hasn’t mentioned to you all is he connecting to the local McDonalds to use as his ISP.
I would call you that word that I called someone else in a message to you where I replaced the u with a v, knowing you’d take it as a joke but then I’d get snowflake reported and banned again ![]()
I know I’m being called it in spirit ![]()
i thought it was supposed to be a 6 shot
well its better, i think. but now it feels like i’m getting negative AA when someone’s shields are about to pop and every time i use the commando i get negative AA
Does anybody know what the tick rate is on their servers? Most devs are open about it but I can’t find anything.
Tick rate is important…

They claimed 60 arena and 30 BTB
so i did notice something else, when we look down we have legs now
Aha, I have news for you! It depends on your FOV. (Unless they’ve changed it recently).
Above a certain number and they disappear again but you still see footsteps in front of you ![]()
WTF is wrong with this game?
also after fully reading that article, it does seem that the sever always favors the person who starts shooting first, when i come close to getting a reversal my aim assist is breaking then too so unless i hit a melee i’m losing 9/10
I’ve collided with enemies fairly frequently.
It’s definitely on for enemies, but it is impacted by desync, and it isn’t the same type of collision previous Halo games had. One way to see this is to play a local game offline on one Xbox and try and jump in an enemy or run through them. You will collide, but it’s not the same, and you probably won’t being able to stand on their head at all. I heard someone else mention it’s like you slide off them rather than bump into them, and that seems true. I don’t even like how it works offline.
I’ve never experienced collision in this game and would call this blogpost a straight up lie.
I lost count how many melee battle have been gimped by walking through the enemy and meleeing them in the back while standing inside of them.
Insane levels of incompetence when a 30 year old game has a better working net code than this pile of garbage.
343i is pulling a Nintendo right now. Offer a terrible online service with terrible netcode then when players try to fix. Players are punished and at best a bandaid was slapped on it when the whole system kinda needs to be overhauled
I never thought Halo would be here in such a sorry pitiful state. A series I cherish. This game is almost close to being so qmazing, and 343 has fumbled it so massively. I can not excuse them for this.
