I'm laughing to death. I'm watching the HCS game. The players have been dropping off the line

*The game will be better over time.". That’s nice. I hope all six people playing it in two years enjoy that

I don’t see any that are beyond 6 feet nor wearing mask so.

Yeah this is extremely disappointing, we just had a game 5 end at 42-42 on a Slayer (Xcet vs Acend) just infuriating to pay all that money, go over there, just to see game crashes and whatnot.

The comp settings themselves are good, but the stability issues are a buzzkill.

Listen I’m happy people were excited for this, I got my twitch drops. But I’m not watching 3 days of disconnects. Sorry 343.

The integrity of the game is completely out the window when you have to restart a game 5, 5 times. At that point you may as well just flip a coin to see who wins.

It’s honestly such a shame. It will definitely be something people will just harp on now, how they can’t get any series to finish without disconnects.

I ain’t watching the rest, it’s way too frustrating to watch.

I’m pretty much in the same boat as this is really going to affect Infinite’s rep in the competitive field against other games and I think most pros might just back out.

I honestly think they should just cancel the tourney until they get stuff situated.

Critique 343i as much as you wish (and there’s plenty do so fairly), but they’re entitled to spend the holidays with their loved ones and recharge their batteries like the rest of us. The last two years have been hard for EVERYONE, and it’s hard enough without folks peeing in the punch bowl about issues they’ve repeatedly acknowledged and are trying to work out.

last part I agree like we established the issues already like weeks ago let them work on fixing them and stop reminding them every nanosecond to fix it

When it was in beta yes lol

Because it was in beta

Now it’s not in beta, some issues were fixed, some lingered, some are new.

And not to defend 343, simply to identity the game was in fact in beta at the time, and some of the issues present at the time and would be addressed at launch.

It’s not a difficult concept to follow my guy.

Oof, evidence of provoking a response with inappropriate antagonization.

I’m glad someone remembers me, but I’m afraid I don’t remember you.

Yes and yes (when it was in beta of course, which it’s not anymore).

But like I stated before, the joke isn’t funny when you have to explain it.

It’s more like a pre-alpha than a beta, to be fair.

More evidence of inappropriate provocation through antagonization.

But it’s not in beta lol. Halo officially launched on 12/8/21, which means you’re now spreading misinformation.

Unless you didn’t realize it launched, then you’re welcome for bringing you up to date

That’s debatable. It certainly has glaring issues that need to be resolved, but there’s also a lot of great additions and fixes that have been implemented and are on their way.

Ooof my guy, more evidence of inappropriate antagonization. This isn’t a good look, not a good look at all.

I’m personally not a huge fan of 343 if I’m being perfectly honest, not really a huge fan of many developers actually. But there’s no sense or logic in telegraphing that where it isn’t applicable.

Begrudgingly is a stretch. From the sounds of it, it was a rather impossible task, considering they implemented several playlists much earlier than stated and within a few weeks after stating the task was impossible. “Gruelingly” seems like a more fitting adverb.

I’d kinda hope the game is somewhat the same, I rather enjoyed the beta and kinda hoped the final product would reflect the gameplay featured in the beta. Could do with a few fixes to prevent crashes, latency issues, and a functional anti-cheat, but overall the launch product isn’t too bad.

3:3 on the inappropriate antagonization in this post alone my guy. You should really be nicer about things. I haven’t once treated you as any less than the human being you are.

If you choose the continued belligerent approach with your reply, I’m not going to respond so just in case:

Happy holidays

I guess all those people defending the game pre-release because it was “still in beta” were right.

Plot twist: It’s still in beta after release

i just let it run in the bg while i went to have lunch, then came back to redeem all rewards then dipped out. I have no interest in esports to be frank

Regular players crashing too. I crashed on 30K/5D match that had at least 3 challenges completed with a 2xp active. I stopped playing for a day or two after that one.

eSports is the poison that’s ruining gaming

I hope it crashes and burns and dies forever

WHAT? Dude, your nuts.

This is the first LAN for Infinite, its also the first major event, it would extremely brazen to just cancel everything over some technical difficulties experienced day 1. The qualifiers (which were online) were far more consistent/stable, sort of implying that its a tech issue and that it can be resolved. I wonder if its hardware related

You sound like you should stick to single player experiences

See, this guy gets it!

LOL
People that spend their time watching twitch and other forms of online vidya tournaments…
What’s the appeal? I personally just don’t get it.

I think they did it on purpose to build tension!

I’m pretty sure each stream had about 3 full games in 10 hours.

Can’t imagine teams will come back if they don’t fix it.

I used to think like that but it can be quite entertaining when it’s competitive… and you get the odd good pundit.

I think HCS is more enjoyable to watch because of the comic presenting - banter/amateur with a hint of professionalism. It’s like watching a b movie!
