Im kinda bummed out

I had really high expectations for halo 4. All indications told me that they were gonna deliver a nice refined competitive experience that all types of players could enjoy. With the new additions of random weapon spawns and armor abilities I am very discouraged.

Enough so that Im considering not even buying halo 4. Reach was terrible for me, so if this is going to be similar I dont see myself spending money on this.

Even worse than that, it seems to me that the game will not even have a proper ranked playlist. Of course, I am only speculating because of the join in progress games news. It would be a shame if that were true. Hopefully a Ranked playlist is implemented and it does not include the join in progress games feature.

This post is not a hate thread or anything like that. It is basically me giving my opinion on current events. I know a lot of people share the same view but we are going to have to wait and see what happens. Hopefully gameplay will come out soon and some of this is explained.

feel the same bro, I am a major halo fan who is in love with the series and I honestly think that halo 3 is the best fps out there and I have had so many good memories with the other games but now I’m only considering renting halo 4 for the campaign and possibly spartan ops and not playing it again

I was just telling my friends the same thing yesterday. They dont get on the forums so they didnt know about the news. They were all major halo 3 fans. They basically said halo 4 sounds like trash.

I might do the same thing. Rent it for Campaign and never play it again.

So at Halofest when they were asked if Halo4 would be built for competitive or casual players, and the answer was “Ughh…no comment.” 343i looks at each other and wiggles their eyes and heads in fear, what part of that was “Hey, we’re making it for the ultra-competitive players.”?

Further more, since 343i has stated they can’t clarify anything for a little bit, why are you again jumping to a conclusion based off of information you know little about?

Well its my opinion on current events. I dont recall that question at halofest… But thankfully theres time for 343 to change my mind. As of now however things dont look that good.

If in fact everything turns out ok and there is a ranking system, and gameplay looks promising I might give it a shot.

I think in all cases this game will be a rent first and buy later affair. I will not be tricked by another halo game again. Thats for sure (Talking about halo Reach)

Day one rent. I’ve been playing Halo since 2001, and I welcome the Drop-out/Drop-in feature that is in Halo CE/Halo 2 Vista.Although, I think it’s not a good idea for a ranked playlist structure, if they even have one.

It’s sad to see game-informer compare this game to CoD, but it looks like they’re (Bungie and 343i)going for that 12 year old audience more and more with every game edition.

Let’s hope Bungie’s next game is great. Lost faith in 343 with the thought of random weapon drops, and perks.
