I'm in agreement. Servers down are great.

So I know there are a few threads out there about the servers being down and how great it is because of the loadouts and such.

I have to say though, I am in complete agreement with this.
Honestly, I would not mind the game staying like this (loadout and gameplay wise).
I would still keep armor customization and playlists obviously, but this BR, DMR, AR only loadout sets are amazing.

I honestly feel like I am playing Halo 2 or Halo 3 again in a sense.
Me and my doubles partner just played a CtF game and were the only remaining guys on our team against 5 on the opposite and we still won the game 5-3.
If the Majestic Maps were out then it would be 10x better.

when the servers are down, do the games count?

I completely agree, I’ve had so much fun.

Glad someones having fun. The matchmaking system is still failing for me and pairing me up with the burdens. I also don’t like not being able to use my BR.

I’m kinda disappointed now. I came on and played a couple matches (intent was to play throwdown as I’ve heard its less bad than everything else) and was like “only 2 loudouts? This is great! They may want to tweak them a bit”. I thought it was intentional. And here I thought They were making good decisions… :frowning:

Play Slayer pro, you can use the BR in that. (:

> when the servers are down, do the games count?

No, it doesn’t count towards anything.
No K/D, game record, or commendations.

Wait what?

In my eyes, the servers being down doesn’t mean Halo 4 is broken, it means it’s playing the way it should…

I would be happy for the game to stay this way.

> Wait what?

I haven’t been on so will someone answer me: What is going on…

> Wait what?

The game is on backup servers do to Xbox Live complications.
This means that the game is set to a default where the only loadouts you can use are BR, DMR, or AR start with a secondary that is a magnum. Armor Ability and Tactical package depend on gametype. Everyone is SR1 with default armor and emblems with no service tags. Also, the only playlists available are Infinity Slayer, BTB, Regicide, CtF, KoTH, and Slayer Pro.

CtF, KoTH, Regicide, and Slayer Pro are individual playlists on the backup servers because those pre-date the playlist updates.

What I don’t understand about this line of thinking is that there are a multitude of playlists and game types that offer set loadouts similar to the ones you see in the offline playlists. If you want that experience why not just frequent those playlists and avoid the ones that allow custom load outs and other new features?

Edit: if you wait a few minutes it will show the playlists.

Well consider yourselves lucky that you even get to play. It’s not even allowing me to play a game now. Keeps saying “loading halo 4 servers” but nothing ever happens.

I do play those playlists more often than others. I enjoy both, I just prefer this type of playing more and would enjoy it if every playlist was like this. Don’t get me wrong though, I like both types, I just like one more than the other.

Wow this happens A LOT with Halo 4 doesn’t it?

I agree to, they should make halo 5 like this, just be able to change your armor ability. This is how halo should be!

I’m not happy about the servers being down because yesterday I started playing team throwdown n im having so much fun. SOo i go to play again today and can’t :frowning:

This is a very good move one 343’s part, now if they can give me all my playlist whilst maintaining the 2 loadout system that we’re testing.

yeah it’s kinda fun but it’s really easy cause it isn’t using true skill matching
