I'm in a serious conundrum...help!

Ever since July 1st, my Xbox One has been making my whole internet network crash whenever I want to play on it. Prior to that date, it was working flawlessly as it would have been. As we realized our problems, my older brother and I have been doing our best to troubleshoot and fix the problem ourselves (within a reasonable amount of time). We’ve looked up and tried numerous tutorials that could’ve helped, but to no avail. We’ve also took the time to contact Xbox Customer Support and our DSL internet service provider (ISP), but the effects were minimal at best.

We have done the following:

 • Restarting the router (powering it on and off, and hitting the reset button) - Replaced any necessary wires for shorter ones or those in better condition - Performed a hard reset on the Xbox - Did a system reset on the Xbox (without losing our data) - Reset our Alternate MAC address 3 times in a row - Tried to fix Xbox App server connectivity on PC (still labeled as blocked) - Diagnosed Teredo connections (proved too frustrating) - Ordered a brand new replacement router

There may be one independent factor behind this: Bell Canada has conducted landline service within my area not too long ago, which might’ve been the catalyst behind the issue. Technical support from my ISP noted that the line itself was acting very weirdly, and that technician work could be required to fix it. But that would be part of my contingency plan. For now, it’s boiling down to the point where my actual Xbox is behind this issue. I may have to test it at another place of sorts to make sure the system is in proper working order. Otherwise, we may have to take it to a repair shop. But if nothing is done by then, we may have to get a replacement console, possibly in the form of the newer “S” model. sigh

Details aside, the disconnect of being away from my friends (who are playing my favourite game) for such a long period of time is driving me insane. So I beg of anyone who has any form of tips and advice…please help me in this dire time of need. I don’t want to fall off the Xbox grid forever.

Have you tried testing the wifi out solely on the xbox, meaning to disable every other wifi consuming device?

I have tested both wired and wireless connections on my system, and both cause the network to crash. Wi-Fi in particular, exaggerates the issue. However, I’ve come to the conclusion that Bell Canada has accidentally messed up my phone line during their maintenance runs. So in regards to hardware, everything is fine. I just need to get a technician to visit and fix it.

Have you asked neighbours to see if they are having this issue?

I don’t think anyone else has an Xbox One on our street; could be limited to us solely.

Actually, we’ve been thinking about testing our Xbox at a different place, though yes, we could borrow another system to test it.

No. I’m not too familiar with the function.

You should really talk to the Xbox Support or the store that you buy the game

I have done so already; it’s my phone line that’s been acting weird (I have a DSL network) and thus I need to call a technician from my ISP to repair it.
