Playable Elites would add nothing to multiplayer. It would just make those who play as elites easier targets for those who are spartans. It would be unbalenced and wouldn’t even change the way you play, or your experience, besides adding more deaths to your total. I guess they work in the way Reach did it, with Invasion, but other than that they don’t add anything to the game. For those who disagree, please leave your thoughts below because I really can’t see any reason why 343 should add Elites other than customisation
Because people bought this game and have always liked Elites, if they like to play as one, they should get the option to do so.
No matter if you think it wont add anything to the game for you, it will add something to the game for the people who want it.
I myself didn’t use elites much back in Halo 3, but i understand why people want it and i have no problem with them having it back, nobody forces you to use it.
If those people are having more fun playing as an elite, that’s alright, isn’t it what this is all about anyway, fun ?

I 100% disagree! The whole (and only) reason why we need playable elites (or another race) is due to 343i running out of ideas for bad armor designs. We already have 300 or so bad human armor bits now we need a new playable race so we can get 300 or so new horrible armor bits for that race!
Just imagine it, you could finally play as an elite and you have a wardrobe that goes all the way to kingdom come … But their is nothing decent to wear in matchmaking … Spooky

Exactly. Elite armour would just dilute the REQ system even further

Exactly. Anyone could say that about anything. I like Monitors… Can they add them to MM?
Because it adds variety in to the game. It adds logic and fun. Everyone would like playing as them.
Given that h5 elites are ugly anyways, I don’t care

Except that playing as an Elite has been a part of Halo multiplayer before, whereas playing as a grunt or having Monitors haven’t.
