I realised recently that I’m really gonna miss the Marine’s faces from the original CE. The old ones were so stiff, but that added a lot of charm IMO. My favourite was a marine with a beard and a scar across one eye. Another cool one had a ginger beard. In fact, whilst they look a lot better, I’m now worried that the CEA marines will all have the same face. Check this picture:
The CEA marines at the bottom all seem to have the same model (face, armour, everything). A bummer if I’m right.

A lot of the Marine faces in CE were Bungie employees so they had to get rid of them.
…Not sure if you know but 343i have been really stressing a feature that allows you to switch from CE to Anniversary graphics, and back…whenever.
So…yeah.

My thoughts exactly.
Most likely a placeholder. Hopefully, since the game has gone Gold now (Shipped for mass production and to be sent to retailers) that BTS footage was old and there are indeed indivisual Marine faces.
But alas, one can only hope.
And also, where did that picture of the Reach Marines come from? Last I checked, Marines are only in right at the end in Keyes’ Pelican…
I want one with Sage’s beard rofl.
You know you can switch back and fourth on the graphics right? Oh wait…others have already wrote this thing…
As memorable and great as Halo CE’s original marines are, i have to say that the new graphic engine layer marines are… just so awesome looking.
I agree that the old models have some charm to them, but it’s because of how dated they are. It’s not like they’re going to make a remake with better graphics, but not improve the graphics.
