No, it’s clearly not just about the money, hence the list of other grievances folk have with the console. If you like the idea of the Xbone, then all power to you, but everyone is entitles to their own opinion, and if they prefer ‘that other console’ then so be it.

Halo is never going to be on the PlayStation 4, ever. That includes Halo 5!
Oddly enough, some people are excited for the Xbox One and its features.
Why are you on a Halo forum complaining about the Xbox One?
I don’t understand why we should care what console you’re purchasing. You won’t be able to enjoy the future of the Halo franchise (at least the games) if you don’t buy an Xbox One. It’s as simple as that.
There’s no reason for you to complain on these forums, unless you want more followers for your “PS Nation”. But why do that on a HALO forum (a franchise that’s always been exclusive to the Xbox)?!?
> I don’t like Kinect. I don’t want it in my home recording me and my family.
So basically you’re afraid they’re gonna spy on you?
Might want to throw away your cellphone and computer as well, because you can be spied on just as easily with those (much more easily with a cellphone, actually, since it’s almost always with you). I bet everyone who’s complaining about the “they’ll spy on us” theory have made fun of people who say similar stuff about phones, laptops, etc.
It’s NOT a valid complaint.
As for everything else, let’s wait until Sony airs their dirty laundry about the PS4 and then see what happens. The primary reason Xbox is getting so much hate is Microsoft made some mistakes in regards to airing theirs and Sony capitalized on that while waiting to reveal stuff that could be just as bad at a more opportune time.
I would say it is a valid complaint, but if you’re going to be paranoid with the Xbox’s Kinect, you have to be paranoid with all similar devices. As already stated, contemporary phones, laptops, tablets, and even some monitors possess cameras. Are you planning on boycotting the iPhone? If you are, all power to you. But, don’t be hypocritical and state that the “Kinect is always watching” if you have a laptop with a webcam or a cellphone with a lens.

Yeah that’s what I meant. I’d bet 99% of the people crying “Microsoft is gonna spy on me picking my nose and scratching my bum!” have a phone an arm’s length away 23 hours of the day, with a camera built in in alot of cases too.

> Anyway: This cloud business is true of PS4 as well as XB1. PS4 games will utilize the cloud just as much as XB1. The only difference is that Xbox’s cloud services will be online from day 1, while PS4 won’t be online until early 2014.

> As for Kinect: that’s just paranoid. You can completely turn off the Kinect, and Microsoft has stated that they won’t transmit information about users unless said users opt in for such a thing. The new Kinect is about as dangerous as a webcam or Smartphone.
I agree it is atleast “as dangerous” than a webcam. Many people have had their webcam’s hacked! What is to stop a possible hacker from hacking the kinect and watching you and your wife or husband or children doing whatever private activities you may decide to do? I would not trust sticking one in my kids bedroom or mine.
If they change the kinect being connected and offline play, I would love to have the xbone.
Hate to be a cold hard a**OP but… You leaving isn’t any big deal enough to make a post about.
If you’re leaving, you’ll most likely miss what Halo 5 has to offer but with it being your money AND choice, you’re not forced. But the good-bye good-bye drama isn’t neccesary. Your life will most certainly go on.

Emphasis mine.
The consoles we have now are more than enough to give us what we want. They can’t really use the excuse that we need MOAR POLYGONS anymore without looking greedy AND inept.
I guess I shouldn’t be surprised a company would be so deaf to the demands of its’ customers. This is Microsoft we’re talking about.
LOl is been stated by MS people that you can choose when or what kind of stuff it records and is being sent. You can also turn it off. Gain some knowledge before hating on the X1 its my thread read it and educate yourself.
