I’m not surprised that I’m the minority on a gaming website but I would rather have a console that does games along with all the other features as I use the other features more then I play games. Getting old sucks. Plus my daughter loves the Kinect and I hate anime RPG games.

PS4 has better RAM, that’s seriously it. The RAM allows faster load times and more anti-aliasing. The CPU on XB1 is equal, the GPU rumours were false about the XB1, because if they were true, there’s no chance in -Yoink- games like the Division, MGS5 and The Witcher 3 would be running on the console at 1080p@30FPS. Furthermore, all multiplatform titles are running exactly the same specs across the consoles, and the best looking titles (graphically, that is) are MGS5, The Witcher 3 and The Division, there’s no chance in hell the PS4’s GPU is much stronger when you look at games like Killzone, which look impressive, but not as good as MGS5 or the Divison.
More focused on games? Really? Because Killzone, Knack, Drive Club, Infamous and The Order 1886 are all the exclusive titles we’ve seen. XB1 has Halo 5, Forza 5, Dead Rising 3, Crimson Dragon, Ryse, Insomniac’s Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break, Killer Instinct, Project Spark, Titanfall (as a console exclusive, major title right there)and Blacktusk’s IP we saw 30 seconds of.
The software lineup right now on XB1 decimates Sony’s. The rest of what you said is true, but Microsoft have said they CAN change these policies, and Major Nelson said they are undergoing major changes.

It’s cheaper, its better, it doesn’t force -Yoink- down your throat and if you like PS exclusives (a lot of people do even xbox people want to play The Last of Us) then you have every single advantage over an xbox.

the PS4 specs are marginally better then xbox one. the true power of both consoles is unknown. but given ms and sony tract record i forsee the ms cloud computing to be superior, more secure, faster, more stable, and have less downtime. to me this generation of consoles is going to be all about cloud computing. this is the next level of innovation and ms is in a far better place to run, own, operate, and manage servers then sony.
PS4 and xbox one have identical policies when it comes to used games. dont confuse the policies of the publisher sony with the policies of the console PS4.
xbox one isnt always online either. once every 24 hours. but as mentioned above, cloud computing is the next level. ps4 and xbox one will require online play for single and multiplayer games that really maximize what can be done in gaming.
i think you make a valid point with the kinect. but i am hoping i can use the xbox one to replace my htpc for my media usage. the kinect looks really nice for media consumption. i think ms is hoping devs finally embrace it now that it is mandatory. if they do then it could end up being something we all want.
i disagree with ps4 being more about the games and giving more power to the developers. the architecture for both systems is nearly identical so neither one has an advantage there. the cloud computing will be available on day one for xbox one, but at a date tbd in 2014 for ps4. definite advantage xbox one. xbox one also has kinect which is another tool. xbox one has smart glass while ps4 has a touch pad on its controller. smart glass provides much more creativity and options then a touch pad. advantage xbox one. if xbox one really did negate used games then that would be another advantage to xbox one, but the policies are identical so it is a wash. if you add it up thats a net advantage to xbox one. which was apparant at e3 with all of the exclusives.
xbox one will be an amazing media machine. many people already use xbox 360 to consume media and the xbox one with kinect is going to be really amazing for watching videos, movies, and listening to music. 2014 you will begin to see xbox ones subsidized by cable and sattelite companies and ms with 2 year contracts of tv, internet, and xbox live gold.
i do prefer the xbox controller. im not sure why sony insists on the d pad being so prominent. even nintendo has conceded its all about analog sticks and provides a layout similar to xbox controller.

If they fix all their crap then fine, but as it stands right now the only thing keeping people biting the bullet and buying an Xbox One is the games. The games look great but the console itself sucks.

It’s just the anti-used game policies, and with WiiU, PS4 and the PC not having this kind of DRM, there is now a ton of pressure on MS to change their policies and keep up with where the market is going. As well as that, they’ve received major backlash from many gamers and have explicitly stated they’ve got the tools to change these things whenever they want, it was originally thought Sony were adopting DRM, but they shocked everyone, MS included. Now MS have announced their rethinking things, it’s a matter of patience now. But do be vocal about your concerns, but not here, do it where MS can see.

Well, that’s one of the few great features on Xbox One.
There’s also tons of other useful features that I’ll use almost constantly.
On top of that, I’ll be playing amazing exclusive titles like Titanfall and Halo.
While you’re stuck playing The Last of Us.
Also, I can play any game I own without having to switch discs.
I can open up Internet Explorer and play games, simultaneously!
I also get a Kinect in my Xbox One bundle.
The Xbox One will also have 300,000 servers!
Trust me.
I know what I’m talking about.
While you have slightly better specs and cheaper use.
I have infinitely better features, games, and online play.

That’s not 343’s choice.
Halo is still owned by Microsoft, and is, by contract, an Xbox exclusive.
I also wont be buying the Xbox One unless they change some things. I will keep most of my reasons to myself. However I will give you one. Where I live there is no high speed internet available this will make an xbox one useless in my home.
