I like actually owning my games. I like to rent games, lend games, borrow games, sell games when I don’t want them anymore (without being restricted to Gamestop) and buying used games when I find a good deal.
I don’t like Kinect. I don’t want it in my home recording me and my family.
I don’t like the idea of a console being built around a cloud and requiring an always on internet connection for games to reach their full potential. I like for the hardware inside the box to already be powerful enough for years to come without any magical cloud and the PS4 does that.
I have no interest in using my game console as a cable box or for it to be the next “watercooler”. I want to play games and own my games with no restrictions or hassle. Microsoft completely missed the mark with the Xbox One. They showed a few cool games but nothing can undo all the faults this console has.

While I understand how your feeling, your post won’t change microsoft’s xbox one in anyway (At least not from here). If you feel that strongly about the Xbox One, send a message to them from the Microsoft website rather than here.
Microsoft haven’t confirmed everything yet, Major Nelson even said that they are rethinking some things that people have issues with.
Xbox Live will still be superior to PSN+ (Or whatever it is called), if Microsoft sort out some of the issues people have then the PS4 only has one advantage. The PS4 is more powerful than the Xbox One, but if I wanted performance I would only play games on my PC.

To start: have fun with the PS4. It does have some interesting titles.
Anyway: This cloud business is true of PS4 as well as XB1. PS4 games will utilize the cloud just as much as XB1. The only difference is that Xbox’s cloud services will be online from day 1, while PS4 won’t be online until early 2014.
As for Kinect: that’s just paranoid. You can completely turn off the Kinect, and Microsoft has stated that they won’t transmit information about users unless said users opt in for such a thing. The new Kinect is about as dangerous as a webcam or Smartphone.
As I understand to each their own, but what you’ve written is what I read from so many pessimistic gamers have said to the point where it’s with no actual valid thinking behind why. It’s kind of annoying.
DRM aside, you do know that you can turn the Kinect off, right? So many paranoid tin hatters here, huh? As for the paywall, Sony doesnt require it themselves but their publishers can push it if they wish. Not to mention that PS+ is now required for online play so they’re just pushing from one DRM situation to another.
As far as games go, this list shows everything and honestly: The One’s line-up looks better. A lot better.
As far as DRM goes, it’s just a counter-fraud measure. I’m not sure if you heard but you can set up a ‘family’ connection with your bodies and share your entire library of games with each other. Digitally. That’s pretty cool.
And the best part? Of the 15 first year first party exclusives MS had discussed: Only a handful were shown.
> I don’t understand why people post this stuff as if we or microsoft care. It’s your money do whatever you want with it.
I don’t understand find it a little amusing that Halo Xbox One is construed to be the forum in which to air any grievances one has with E3-related subjects.
Subzerochief23 in the time ive been here you’ve left some of the realest post on waypoint. I wish others would see faults in what will no doubt in my mind be a obviously big problems as well.
Ill stick to following halo via youtube and other media but my console time ends with h4 as well. Although i can get an x1 the always online and used game policy are deal breakers. Im not leaving halo just xbox. Dont know about you.
Unfortunately this is the end of halo there will be no halo 6. The x1 is the same thing as a psgo and will meet the same fate. Trust me mom and pop as well as the big retail game stores arent going to like the x1. Unless -Yoink!- changes their ways history will repeat and they will perish.
But in brighter more hopeful news should you be getting destiny on the ps4 i’ll se you around.

No electronic device is truly turned off in these days, and I do have my doubts that the Kinect camera will go off completely. We’ll see.
What bothers me however is that there are rumours circling about using the camera as a “counter” when watching movies.
If you’re say, three people watching a movie in a room and a fourth enter, the moive may pause and a fee must be payed before the movie can continue, or one person must leave. Well, the rumour is that it’s a potential use of the camera, not something planned, but a circling idea.
If that’s a rumour, I bet there are many more crazy ideas like that going around.
It’d be awesome however if we could use it as a surveilance camera through our phones when we’re gone.

Thanks for the list! Killer Instinct as an Xbox One exclusive… That’s great! I haven’t played killer instinct in years. Can’t wait to see what they do with it.

Nah, the reward wouldn’t be worth the risk. Microsoft would lose a lot of money by doing that.

Sorry to break it to you, but KI is being made by the people who made the Battleship video game and the game is free to play. The catch is you start with 1 character and have to buy all the rest.
It actually sounds like a sick joke typing it out but it’s real and MS can go to hell.

That´s true but you are forced to buy Kinect even if you don´t use it, you need to have Kinect plug in even if you don´t use it. That i my opinnion is just stupid from MS.

I agree with everything you said. Another thing you forgot to mention though is the PS4 is a $100 cheaper.
I’m in the same boat buddy. I love Halo but I do not love the X-bone and I won’t be getting it, at least not till it drops to the $200-300 range. So I’ll be missing out on H5 and possibly 6.
Well Microsoft has already said that that more details will come out in the future so I am betting that all these grievances will be resolved possibly in the coming conventions.
