I'm gonna be a crybaby for a moment...

I’m gonna ramble a bit about my thoughts…not that anyone cares.

  1. The Ghost is over powered. Considering how easy it is to destroy warthogs or kill the driver/passengers, the ghost is ridiculously overpowered. I think the amount of damage it can take needs to be lowered.

  2. I think the Matis is fine, but because of how powerful it is, the respawn rate should be changed. I think once you lose it, it should be gone until perhaps the final 5 minutes of the game. Or maybe don’t have it respawn at all. Also, I think one should be not be required to be BEHIND it in order to board it and stick a grenade on it. All the other vehicles are easily boarded from any angle.

  3. I do not like Infinity CTF. The flag times are too short and I do not like the Ordinance Drops. Teams with lower K/D ratios can win regular CTF matches if they work well together in moving the flag through the map. With ODs, it rewards too much the players with high K/Ds as they can then dominate the game with superior weapons (snipers, fuel rod, etc) which pretty much locks down the other team. You’re on a large map like, I think it’s Exile and the other team has 3-4 snipers…yeah, good luck.

  4. Promethium vision has no realistic counter. It destroys the usefulness of active camo or stealth tactics from crouch walking or just hiding and waiting. I’d recommend removing it like they did the bubble shield OR change it’s repower rate to a much much longer one. By the time I run away from someone using and try to sneak back, it’s already recharged and ready to go.

  5. Remove the bolt shot. It’s a highly skilled weapon that benefits those with superior connections. That weapon paired with promethium vision is a powerful combo. I don’t like it.

Where are the rendering options for videos like Bungie.net? Not point in me making videos if I can only share them with people while they are playing Halo 4. Come on!!

  5. I am going to have to agree with cyclops. Make it a more common ordinance drop instead of a starting weapon along with the PP. Also it is in no way a highly skilled weapon as you stated it was.

  1. I don’t think the Mantis should have a recharging shield (the ONLY vehicle that has that), other than that I think it’s pretty balanced. People just need to learn to focus fire on the damn things…

  2. Maybe they should change it (since I doubt they’d remove it) so that only moving, non-crouched targets show up bright red on PV. If a target is immobile, it only shows the outline. That way; a) It’s still useful, b) it doesn’t totally negate stealth tactics like it currently does, c) the Wetworks perk is still valid by making you an outline even while moving.

I stopped reading after ‘Ghost is overpowered’. The vehicles are next to useless in this game and all need a buff to compete Plasma Grenades and Plasma Pistols as starting loadout weapons.

the mantis is fine but not to place it on any map, for example in ragnarok is more difficult to destroy because it is a map where it is harder to sneak behind because the enemies are always face to face and and protecting it from all angles, is well placed in maps like vortex or exile, or as is in meltdown

I use the ghost a lot and it is definitely not overpowered. If anything, it seems much weaker as far as damage it can take than what the ghost could take in reach. Add to that the fact that so many people will have sticky grenades and plasma pistols, it makes using the ghost (or any vehicle) tricky. With the ghost, you have to be very conservative…stay at a distance, keep moving, and never take on more than one or two people at a time…do that and you’ll do decent with it. Play too aggressive, get in too close, or go for splatters…you’re probably going to get blown up or hijacked before your able to even get a single kill with it.

I completely agree on Promethean Vision and the Mantis. Promethean vision blows my mind in the same way armor lock did in that I can’t imagine the conversation they had where someone proposed the idea. (“Hey let’s have an AA where you can see through any surface and it lasts a loooong time! You can pretty much play the whole game with it on with short breaks to recharge! Hahahahaha!”) It should, at the most, be a quick flash that instantly depletes your AA bar. But that’s the best case nerf scenario to me. I don’t even really think it should exist. Seeing through walls is something that’s never really gonna be balanceable. Just like invincibility with Armor Lock.

And the Mantis just seems overpowered to me. It pretty much renders all other vehicles pointless. I have no idea why they would create arguably the most powerful vehicle in the game and then go “I know! Let’s give it shields!”

Oh and I don’t necessarily think the ghost itself is overpowered, I just think for some reason it seems they keep putting like 4 of them on each map and then giving them a like 15 second respawn time. So every game of big team ends with me being pissed off because every time I get into a firefight I get splattered out of nowhere by a ghost because there’s like 6 in play at any given time.

I use the wetwork perk so promethium vision is literally useless against me. In fact, it gives them a false security thinking no one is there, but in reality I’m about to snap their necks when they turn the corner.

It is a skilled weapon because I’m awesome, but suck with it. I’ve had this game since day one and got my first kill the other night.

j/k, I’m not awesome. Based on stats, I’m apparently just above average. But when I’ve got the host connection…damn I do well.

back to the ghost…My primary reason for suggesting it’s over powered is that almost every time I stick a warhog with a plasma grenade, I get a kill. The ghost…nah…it’ll take it just fine.

Maybe I’m running into a lot of people with Wheelman. That’s something to consider. I’ve used wheelman with the warthog and I’ve taken an insane amount of damage before it blows up.

The Forerunner Force of trolling is strong in this one.

None of my friends have unlocked wetwork yet. So maybe that’s what’s needed. I’m 117 right now with wetwork as my active specialization. if that is the case, then we need more than 5 loadouts so i can customize my Active Camo load outs with the wetwork perk when I run into PV.

Ghost is overpowered? I can’t help but disagree with that.

All vehicles in Halo 4 are made of tissue paper, but the Ghost definitely seems weaker than the other vehicles (besides the Mongoose). It takes two plasmas to kill a Ghost, and concentrated DMR fire reduces it to dust fairly quickly. Add to the fact that splattering is easy to avoid, and the only redeeming quality about the Ghost seems to be how it’s cannons can quickly take care of attackers. A Warthog should be able to easily take care of it if they’re aiming properly

Melees seem to be the same as they were in Reach. Someone else said the ghost is underpowered compared to Reach. That is not my recollection. The way ghosts have dominated matches is a new experience to me. But I’m also playing Halo 4 a LOT more than I did reach, although I did play Reach a lot. I think I had about 5,000 games but close to about 10,000 games I think in Halo 3. I’m almost at 1,000 games for Halo 4.

But it could be as someone else mentioned, there are just a LOT of ghosts and they are constantly respawning.

Says the man who thinks the ghost in overpowered? Are you serious at how weak this vehicle is compared to other games. The best use for this lightweight garbage is to splatter.

I agree that they’re overpowered, but only because of those Ghosts on Forerunner with their insane firing range.
