This is the second time i saw in halo 4 forums and i’m getting worried. People want all playlists ( yes ALL) requiring DLC to play.
For those who are getting SE ( standard edition) won’t be able to play it if you don’t buy the dlc.
Does anyone know ( i want oficial 343i news) if 343i is gonna make that after they release first dlc?
Paying halo 4 and xbox live gold is enough…
where are you seeing this. People who get the LE will have instant access to the DLC when it comes out not when the game comes out
Even if they did that, 343 wouldn’t be unreasonable. There would still be playlists for you to play, but most of the would be DLC required. I don’t see why you people don’t just get the Limited Edition…it comes with the damn Map Pass.
And as far as I’m concerned, if I pay for this DLC I expect to be able to use it. I’m not going to tolerate another Reach and it’s stupid DLC system.

Just suck it up man and get a season pass and those sweet helmets, I personally think DLC should be required. I paid for ALL the map packs on reach and i JUST finished all the DLC specific achevos’ like 2 weeks to launch of the new game because i have absolutely NO WAY to play them.

This. If they do this, there’ll definitely still be a bunch of playlists that you can still play without DLC.

NO, that is what they did in reach. Only like 5 percent of the population is in there. So it gets shutdown. Did you ever play HALO 3? plenty of gametypes without dlc, but quite a few requiring it. Best of both worlds.

So the DLC purchasers, arguably the Premium Players are lumped with one playlist where EVERYTHING such as CTF, Slayer, SWAT etc are stuffed in there with no choice of what we get to play over the people who refuse to buy the packs?

IMO, the LE is only a good purchase if you have an interest in the physical items. I would not advocating buying it for the DLC.
Now the Map Pass standalone, however, seems like a reasonable purchase. I’ll pick that up after I see what the first round of maps is like (i.e. if they’re worth the money).

Then buy the Map Pass. Problem Solved.
I believe a lot of people are going to have DLC in this game, LE comes with Wargames Map pass, and when looking at Battlefield 3’s premium sales, I think people like myself who are purchasing a standard edition, will buy the map pass too.
I hope they’re taking Halo 3’s way with the DLC, I think I played around 10-20 matches in Reach’s first two DLC maps, I didn’t even bother buying the anniversary map pack since the singe playlist idea was just idiotic move.
Sure they could make the dlc maps available in the same playlist but in order for it to truely be fair is to take the voting system out and replace it with vetoing system in halo 3 so people would be given more of a chance to play the dlc maps without having to play the same maps over and over again.
Otherwise, a dlc playlist would be tge alternative action to make sure people get a chance to play on the maps they dished out the extra money for.
