Ok so I got Halo 5 a week ago, I’ve been playing and my friend was telling me how he wouldn’t quit and he would get banned. I didn’t believe him until yesterday I would finish a game win or lose and it would say I was banned. I would wait it out confused, but now the ban is at 9 hours which is absurd. My gamertag is PackersDaBomb91 if anyone can help not really to sure 
You quit a lot of games in arena and warzone. 3 DNF on the first page alone in arena and 2 DNF in Warzon. Try not doing that.

Your not understanding why I’m saying, I finished the games but they count it as I quit or something stupid in that area. I’ve only ACTUALLY quit like 3 times and that was when I had to go somewhere

ok so he did understand, he just left out important info. the ban hammer has a 1-2 delay between when it actually strikes your GT. so lets say you quit game 1, then you go and play game 2, then right after game 2 you are banned for quitting game 1. its really a simple concept to udnerstand. you know you quit games before hand.
and im sure the exact sequence you experience once in the middle of the end credits before the carnage report you were kicked from the serve and then banned as well

edit - i counted 17 DNF in your arena games. it might have been 18 idk if i forgot to count one or not. so much for only 3 times

Can you not read? I said that I completed the games but the game is counting it as a DNF for some reason I’m trying to figure it out.
The ban system works 1-2 games behind your current. It banned you for leaving a previous game.

Yeah I understand how it works, I’m just trying to find out why I’m getting DNF’s for actually finishing the game

Honestly that doesn’t happen lol specially not just for one person. You will need a better excuse then that
Also to simplyfie it for you. The game you finish does not count as a DNF. You get to finish a game but because you quit the game before it the ban will happen after the game you finish. That’s why it appears you are being banned for finishing but it’s you are banned for the games you quit. Very easy concept to understand. Delay in ban hammer comes after your next game.
