It’s tempting to think feedback from regions outside the US aren’t really being considered.
Halo was always US centric game. I really was looking forward for this to be a global phenomenon and probably experience ping less than 180. I played since Halo 2 and I hoped Infinite would finally be the game that would be popular in my region. Now one year into the release I feel it really is too late since everyone fell off after the first month.
It takes nearly 30 minutes for me to find a game in unrestricted region matchmaking and just impossible when trying to queue local. For Infinite, fortunately the MCC has a better network experience the connection US servers there have better lag compensation. It sucks that I miss out on Infinite mostly.
I disagree when people preach that desync issues and matchmaking issues have been fixed with infinite. The one second delay, 220 ping, rubberbanding and disconnections make it absolutely discouraging to play.
Even things like Halo skins exclusive to Western products like the OPI skin and monster energy skins and even merch like the NERF Halo, action figures and the books make me feel left out since we don’t have the products and promos available in my country. Man, I remember wanting the Halo 2 and 3 Mcfarlane figures back then…
I could be asking for too much but being a Halo fan for two decades and having to deal with all the shipping red tape, the connection and the matchmaking is… discouraging. Still, we endure and I hope one day the franchise branches out more.
