i love FFAs. always have, always will. so you can imagine my disappointment when instead of shipping with a regular FFA i was stuck with a ridiculous leader-punishing gamemode that was basically designed so everyone in the lobby, regardless of how good or bad they were, had a shot at winning or at least getting a high score.
then community FFA comes out. the maps are a bit confusing at first. its forge so the blocks all look very similar and its easy to not know where you spawned until youve played the map a few times but im not complaining, ive always enjoyed community map playlists because a lot of them are pretty creative and no offense but the maps that shipped with h4 other than haven are all pretty atrocious so playing on FW maps isnt a terrible trade off.
i have to say that im having a blast so far in the game mode. however infinite rumble is reminding me as to why i dont really like this game again. it all feels very cheesy and made for instant gratification. there are power weapons and other randomness everywhere from killstreaks. AAs begin overshadowing the core gameplay making it all feel very gimmicky. the whole experience feels very cheap. now i didnt come here to request the removal of infinite settings because i understand that the majority of players left on halo enjoy those game modes, just to state my feedback on them and how much better i feel the more true-to-halo rumble pro option is. i havent enjoyed a game mode like that for a long time
