I'm excited that people are excited!

While it’s easy to dislike the graphics and whatever from the game (I’ve been talking smack too), but the fact that so many people outside of the loud Halo community really excites me. Millions of people have watched the trailer to with a positive response, and all the games & tech media seem to be very keen on it too. There are 10 million players on Game Pass, a lot of which are probably going to give it a shot. I have friends in real life who are actually talking about Halo! This is great!

Point is, regardless of how ‘not next-gen’ the game looks, this is the biggest Halo launch in a decade and an incredible chance for the community to become an actual proper community again. Esports, forge and modding with PC is going to be huge! With millions of players custom games could be awesome. I am so excited to welcome a lot fans here and I really hope that Infinite plays well enough to stick around as a mainstay in games.

Lol what? Most of the people outside and even inside the halo community are memeing on about how bad the game looks. This is the worst reception a halo game has ever gotten in all of its history.

Totally agree - and more to the point, so far I think everything looks fun, even if it’s not 100% what people want/expected

The top 3 most viewed videos on the Halo YouTube channel are Halo Infinite trailers, each with millions of views (each more than any one trailer for Reach, 4, 5 and HW2). They all have an overwhelmingly positive like/dislike ratio and even the -Yoink!- YouTube comments section are positive. Twitch chat during stream was insane, every tech/games media are discussing almost exclusively Halo from this show, look at the IGN front page. Halo 3 launched to 3.5 Million players. Halo Infinite will launch to at least 10 Million. These are just blunt observations. This is undeniably the biggest launch in the franchise history.

Doesn’t change the fact literally everyone else in the gaming community had little to no interest in what we saw. Funny how you also mention “Most viewed” whilst ignoring the fact that the halo infinite gameplay reveal very likely has the most dislikes of any of the videos on the channel.

Social media and YouTube always hype themselves up before every Halo release. Then the game comes out, they play it for a week and move on to the next heavily marketed garbage that they’re supposed to be excited for. I will say this is the first time I’ve seen people meme Halo this hard though.

At least 10 Million? WIth that graphic for the new generation? Really?
Okay there is the thing with the gamepass okay. But I want to see the playerpopulation. Even IF Millions will play it at release - how high is the player population after 3 months, 6 months, a year? And why is it the “biggest” launch? Because of an gamepass. So I doeasn’t count it in for real.

343 should be then so transparence to show the population base, at least.

Of course the most viwed are the newest one, simple because more people watch streams etc.

A friendly reminder: Good like/dislake ratio doesn’t say anything about the title. Remeber what happened to Halo 5?
When other Halo’s were released there was also mostly Halo on the first page I mean, it’s nothign special that Infinite is one the main site.
I’m not saying the graaphic looks bad but from that what I expected and that kinda Hype they built around their new engine and the graphics that whole thing looks just like an Halo 5 graphic Update, nothing more.

Also wasted 3 hours of time to track peoples gamertags who said that they spended hours in playing Halo 5 etc - most people barely played anything there.

Same, I’m excited that new people are going to jumping into the game.
With game pass being so amazing it’s ready going to boost up the playerbase for Infinite

Gamepass is going to be huge for Infinite.
We are going to have people creating content in forge across multiple platforms with cheap access to the game. Custom games are going to be incredible. Unless the game is a buggy mess at launch (and knowing 343, it is possible), Infinite is going to have a lot more attention regardless of how bad the graphics are.

For sure!
Im excited for the future of Halo. There’s so much potential with this game it’s unreal.
