I'm embracing these changes & you should too

I’m going to embrace these changes. They can be just as competitive as Halo CE-3. I think 343i realizes that although these features don’t work well in CoD they are still something that is great for gameplay and can be improved. This goes for perks, ordinance, and AAs.

Look at this article about how iOS 6 is copying Android. My favorite part of the article is “Keep in mind that it really doesn’t matter much who did something first…Who did something first isn’t as important as who does something best.”

CoD was just like Halo with CoD 1 and 3 in terms of gameplay with no perks, killstreaks/ordinance, etc. CoD 4 came along and it was popular with broken and unbalanced features. Like I said 343i can come in, take those features, and make them better.

Hating this game now is just going to make your experience horrible.

Ya, except the stuff their taking from COD isn’t the problem. The stuff they’re taking from Reach is.

This thread applies to AAs as well.

There are plenty of ways to argue how these concepts dont work apart from “they came from COD”, and i dont have to post them because they are suggested in many current threads and some are still valid arguments from reach (like jetpack).

Agreed. Games change. There’s nothing wrong with the game,(necessarily), it’s just different from Halo 3. If you don’t like it, don’t complain, just go back to Halo 3.

These features came from games other than CoD but…

im not talking about what games they came from. Im talking about how they work specifically in halo. The educated arguments, you know. The ones like how jetpack destroys map control, and how PP+DMR will be broken. And how firepower (i think thats what its called) will be often abused. And how PV is obviously broken compared to radar.

And i dont have the time to type out all these arguments…

Well it shouldn’t.

AAs are fundamentally flawed at their very base. People who dislike them simply dislike playing a game that revolves around powers. How those powers are balanced and implemented is irrelevant.

Well it does.

nice way to take a well based argument and simplify it so you dont have to come up with a valid response.

You can’t make everyone embrace the changes. I think some people will come around once they actually play the game. I think 343 are doing a nice job balancing the AAs so far. Just pv there’s a concern.

That statement is idiotic. How, if they are balanced and well implemented, can the AA’s be ‘flawed at their very base.’ If they’re fun and add new gameplay options, (which they do), and they’re balanced and fair, (which has hopefully been improved upon since Reach), then there is no reason not to include them.

There’s nothing inherently wrong with AA’s. There are valid complaints against them, but your complaint is not one of those.

Everything I’ve seen so far in terms of multiplayer is going to make the gameplay frustrating for me. 343 has done nothing to warrant embracing.

I shouldn’t need to when he doesn’t worry about perks when are just as game changing as AAs. Not to mention the person jetpacking is 95% of the time killed when in mid air so I don’t see it as gamebreaking as some think.

Tell that to the BR fan boys with the 5SK change…

You can’t tell someone else to embrace the changes if they don’t like them. While I do agree with you, theres no way to know whether 343i pulled them off well until you play the game, all I’m saying is people have to decide for themselves whether they like the changes or not. However going in with the mentality that the game is going to suck will definitely give you the mentality that it is a bad game while you’re playing it.

I for one, am giving these changes a chance, I feel that Halo 4 is going to be a great game and I can’t wait to try it out for myself.

Also I apologize in advance as I am now on my iPod and I can’t see who is posting what. I can still see the posts just fine though

Just pointing out that the AA’s in Halo 4 seems more tactical or something of that sort.

/implying that AA will never ever be balanced.

Please don’t, honestly. You are proving my point (on another thread) and in all reality they could easily be balanced if done right.

They aren’t going to make bungies halo, and while I don’t agree with what they are doing the game, I know there will be playlist that work for me. I’ll stick to swat, sniper and MLG. And, maybe if items (like PV) get fixed, then I will play.

But honestly, AA could be balanced. There is nothing wrong with the idea (hologram aside) as long as they are MAP PICKUPS. Hologram and the Thruster pack don’t have to be, but the rest should (excluding PV which shouldnt be in the game)
