I said many weeks ago if the January update didn’t add anything of value, I was done - and I keep my word.
Halo 5 is an all-round disappointing game;the story completely undermined everything set up beforehand and in the advertising, warzone is unbalanced at best and downright broken at worst, the “skill-based” matchmaking is pathetic and the supposed “free” DLC is content cut from launch and what amounts to forge maps. As an overall experience, I would genuinely consider Halo 5 one of the worst purchases I have made in gaming (On the bright side, it inspired me to stop pre-ordering games, so that’s good), and I cannot think of an experience in the multiplayer or the campaign which I would classify as anything beyond “meh”.
After an abysmal launch, I was prepared to wait a few months for forge, and right now, forge is the only part of the game I consider to be worth playing. But even then, forge is useless without decent custom game options; asymmetrical gametypes, infection, bomb, KOTH, and so forth. Halo 5 could have been amazing if these were in on launch, or even with the forge update, but they weren’t. And nearly 80 gigabytes of space on a hard drive will never be worth the sorry excuse for a game that is Halo 5. February’s update could be the best thing ever, but I honestly don’t care anymore. Halo 5, Escalation, the pitiful adaptation of Halo: The Fall of Reach and a myriad of other smaller things have pretty much killed my interest in the Halo games at this point.
So thank you 343. I have three games on my shelf still waiting to be played, and you’ve finally given me a reason to delete one of the biggest wasters of hard drive space so I can go play them. Thank you for getting me to stop pre-ordering games, and thank you for ensuring that when the next console generation comes around, I’ll be able to catch up on all those PC games I missed.
Sincerely, someone who was once one of your biggest fans <3

Of course
Aside from the fact I’ve uninstalled the game and can’t see myself downloading a 9gb patch anytime soon. And the fact I’ll be selling the disc next week.
But okay.
I think you are taking this too far haehaheae
Whoa, thought I on the Destiny forums for a second. Place is awash with rubbish like this.
Nobody cares, if you’ve stopped playing, that’s great, but just go, don’t seek attention.
I wouldn’t sell the game, I would just wait a few months until the games errors have been fixed by the updates.

Honestly, if I do buy it back, I’d be getting a pre-owned limited edition to go with the rest of my LE collection. If not, it’s money to go towards getting TW3.
Is there a reason people always feel the need to make a thread about them quitting the game? Are you looking for empathy? It’s pointless. If you’re going to quite then quit. There’s no need to clutter up this section with useless threads like this.

Letting 343 know that their awful support for Halo 5 is driving people away comes to mind. A forum filled with endless praise would mean that 343 would continue their downright pathetic support for the game and community - if they realise they’re driving customers away, they might change.

343 doesn’t even look at these forums (rightly so).

I’ve sort of guessed that, based off the fact they’re under the impression people get excited for the equivalent of forge maps, and seem oblivious to the near constant demands for meaningful content.

I’m not saying the forum needs to be filled with endless praise, but it’s getting tiresome to continue seeing people make threads saying “I’m done” or about them quitting. It adds nothing to the discussion and just clutters up this section even more. If people want to quit then just quite. We don’t need a thread every time someone decides to uninstall the game.

Well until population counters are released, it’s the next best thing to be able to point to as evidence of a population drop-off.
But, master of the unicorns…
guess I can’t stop you from leaveing, oh well. Hopefully you find something that plays your style op.
OK bye. Don’t let the door hit your -Yoink- on the way out.

I’ve got several other things going on right now; Elite: Dangerous, I still haven’t finished my first Fallout 4 playthrough despite being +4 days in and I still need to finish the Metro games.

Okay, if I can ask you a question, setting aside the lack of content at launch, what did you think of Halo 5?
