Yesterday i read a post on here about the shotgun… i thought the scatter-shot was replacing the shutgun?

Why would a newly-found Forerunner weapon replace a UNSC weapon, that would be like if the Beam Rifle replaced the Sniper Rifle in Halo 3

No. The human shotgun still exists. So if by “replacing” you mean erasing its existence you are wrong.
Both the human shotty and the Scattershot will be close-quarters juggernauts.

As for the OP question, it’s just like what everyone says: The (human) Shotgun is still in Halo 4.

Hm. I’d suggest the term “supersede;” the word “replace” has the connotation that the replaced ceases to exist. For example, when you replace an employee, the original employee is gone. When an employee supersedes another, it’s more like an employee fills the role of another that has a new role.
Or I’m crazy and stupid. Whatever. English. Yeah.

Sorry, but the way you said it confused people. You could have just said that in the first place. We are also not sure whether or not the shotgun is coming back as a power weapon or as a primary loadout weapon. (Both have been hinted at.)
