im confused about campaign

Now this whole time i thought it would be precursors, but instead its prometheans, why?

if I remember, 343 said a hundred times that the enmy threatens the ENTIRE universe, and the forerunners/prometheans only left the galalxy to build the arks, and requiem, even that was like 2 light years away from the edge of the galaxy.
can someone please prove me wrong about this, or evidence that precursors are the REAL enemy?
and before I end i wanted to say, how do we defeat a very powerful, and big army, and all we have a small covenant fleet, infinity, chief, spartan 4’s, and arby with his small army

were very much out guned and outnumbered

Prometheans aren’t the enemy, they are the servant species for THE enemy.

Well, in the trailer you’ll noticed that the Promethean enemies are all red/orange BUT in one part near the end of the trailer, where it flashes through the different clips, you’ll see blue Prometheans, so my guess is that someone is controlling the Promethean AIs and that the blue ones are on your team.
