I have now officially had it up to here with 343 Industires (*climbs to the top of Everest). I mean do they purposely ignore us or are they just completely incompetent. Halo made my childhood awesome. I remember desperately trying the beat the Warthog run with my little brother via splitscreen. I remember being blown away by the amazing story telling. I remember having a blast on Valhalla while trying to shoot the enemy flag carrier with a sniper. Now I frustratingly try play a game that is plaqued by bugs, glitches and lags. I now throw my Xbox remote on the floor in rage after finishing halo 5’s campaign. I now can’t play with my friends as there is no splitscreen. Over the last 3 years 343 Industires all of my love for this once gretbfranchise
343 Industires doesn’t know what halo means to me and to SO many other people. Halo never had to be realistic with sprint, ads etc. It was fun. All halo was, was a fun game with great stories, fun multiplayer and simple but addictive gameplay. But now being fun is no longer the priority to 343. The real priority are Req packs and trying to get COD fans playing halo. The old halo community that got the franchise to where it is now has been swept aside in favour of trying to replace them with a more casual fanbase and profit. And this has caused a decline in popularity and quality of the halo franchise because 343 Industires can’t get the prioities right. The real priorities are making the game as fun and accessable as possible. Bungie understood the importance of these two things and they did their best to try and make the game as good as it could be.
Where as for 343 it’s :
“we need to make this game as competitive as possible”
“Who cares about BTB there is Warzone now”
“The halo community are stupid they’ll like anything we give them”
Thanks to 343’s incompetence and stubborn attitude Halo is now just another generic, average game sitting on a shelf in a shop. Why do 343 continue to neglect the halo community? Halo 5 is a kick in the balls to the halo community. Forge and a File Share, two essential community features were both swept to the side and released post launch (Forge is probably the best part of this game so love u Tom French + Forge team). Theatre, another popular community tool is still broken 1 year post launch. Core, fan-favourite gamemodes like BTB, Infection and Grifball were all released post launch while gamemodes like KOTH, Oddball, Juggernaut and VIP, which although weren’t the most popular gamemode still had a relatively large fan base, are all missing form matchmaking. So what does that tell us about 343 Industries? It tells us that they are lazy and they just don’t care anymore.
And now we have 343 introducing sprint, ads and thruster which has completely split the community down the middle. Now I hate sprint an smart link but a lot of other people like these feature so I completely respect and understand your opinion but this is the point. Since 343 have now introduced these mechanics they have to either put sprint in a halo game thus -Yoink!- off those who dislike sprint or don’t include sprint but disappoint those who like sprint. This problem could be solved with a classic playlist but we all know how much 343 want to differ from Bungie so that’s probably not going to happen. We also have 343 choosing 1080p and 60fls over splitscreen. Then we have 343 downright refusing to put in playable elites in the multiplayer despite a huge outcry from the community.
Do 343 even care anymore? If so then how? Why do they continue to neglect fan favourite gamemodes and ignore countless requests? Why are countless bugs and glitches that have been in the game since launch haven’t been fixed? Everything is so -Yoinked!- up I don’t know who is responsible for these problems :
- Is it the people in charge of 343? - Is it the people who 343 employ who just don’t know what they’re doing? - Is it Microsoft? - Is it a bit of both?
