I'm boycotting URBAN

No longer playing this **** map. Round 3 defend the core… 99% of the time we fail.

Bout time people even get there it is at 75%.

Every time this map comes up i am dash boarding. Not wasting my time with that ****

EDIT: Thanks for the replies. I don’t have any issue with the round when it comes to strategies etc. I always get out a Ghost and try to splatter what i can, or bring out a Wraith… but the majority of the team are still running about with an AR and Magnum…

I’m wasting REQs trying to beat this round only to fail 99% of the time.

Even when we did beat this round (once, i was with friends) we lost on the final round because a gang of Knights spawned in front of the base where the Wardens are and made it near impossible to get past, unless teammates had tanks or good REQS.

If you know it is on round 3, prepare and get over there as soon as round 2 ends. I’m not defending the round, it is extremely difficult, but if you know it’s coming, get over to it and prep to defend

i do. But if my friends aren’t on then i’m stuck with randoms who don’t have a clue. no point in even playing the map

You can Win, but players need to bring warthogs or ghost out and run the little AI over, why other teammates shoot the knights, once cleared enough of the Little AI, ghost can help with the Knights.

Lol I actually like this map

I understand your grief then. There are times a team of 6 with 2 randoms struggles to beat this round

The problem isn’t the map, it’s the players (and I’ve won 1 game out of 9). When it comes to defending the core, most people aren’t even using common sense, I’m the only one in my team using ghosts.

Use your warthogs/ghosts people, you can take a large number of them out just by running into them.

Don’t be surprised if the banhammer strikes, then.

I’ll just link you the ban thread now to save time. Try thinking about your issues with WZ FF and putting it down in the sticky feedback thread at the top. In the meantime try to come up with some new strategies a little inventiveness goes a long way.

You can’t get banned from dashboarding a.k.a. dodging. Dodging has legitamete purposes (getting out of a match that you didnt want to start, avoiding a toxic map like power installation, etc). but is mostly used by people that see 12 warden/guardian emblems in warzone and dont want to play a game they’ll lose in 3 minutes.

People also dodge teams to avoid a challenge, which is pathetic. As soon as the deploying countdown starts you’re locked in and dashboarding/leaving will give you a loss/ban.

yeah I’d dashboard urban as well.
No chance of winning on that map with the defend the core and the round 5 that I usually see
Stormbreak is simillar for me since I always get the inside the base hunters but I at least see the light at the end of the tunnel and believe its possible even if I haven’t done it

It is a bane in the -Yoink- but I use my boosts in FF so I’ll take the points over quitting.

Urban can be a pain in firefight, but I find if I stay around the armory and the circular path that surrounds it, im at a perfect middle point for all objectives. Only exception is when they spawn in the armory, your there - but your also being ambushed (which for me happens on ALL the FF maps)

From what I’ve heard, from the moment the “Leave Matchmaking” option disappears, leaving the game counts as quitting/DNF. I wouldn’t know from personal experience because I never quit nor have I been banned.
If dashboarding during that small window after team lock-in but before countdown actually lets you get out without fear of a ban, that is something 343i should address and remove.

Just run the prometheans over with a ghost, it works on every Promethean except the knights but some people have yet to find out how easy it is to just run all the AI over, but then there is the other people who think they can run over a hunter…or knight, hell I bet they’ve tried to splattering the warden

For that round, you should be focusing on taking out the splinter turret Prometheans and the Knights. Also, a Wraith works pretty well for getting lots of splash damage for multiple enemies that are clustering around the core.

It’s a hard map, and you (everyone, and myself included) will more than likely not win if you don’t have a good team, but you shouldn’t quit and leave a team at a disadvantage just because you dislike playing it. That’s a jerk move.

Well, maybe if you could vote for the maps… oh wait.

You can’t get banned from Xbox live. But you can from Halo. A quit/DC is still a quit/DC regardless of how you try to justify it.

The map is good, it’s just the round that are the problem. Even if you pass this round, you will have to put up with the triple warden/ultra banshee and elite knight spam final round. I had an ONI tank in that round, was heading to a safe spot to range the wardens, then had Knights spawn all around me and wreck me.
