The upcoming ranking changes are ONLY good. I will stop being dragged down by underperformers. It’s good.

What about the people who just want BR starts and don’t care about ranked? How about the people who have been playing Halo with BR starts since 2004? Maybe some of us just don’t want to fight 7 other people for the 1 BR spawn. I’d gladly never play ranked again if I got a BR Quickplay playlist for social.
It’s astonishing how 343 couldn’t solve the most sinple tasks. Especially if you have a game like G3 where you literally just have to copy paste stuff.
As a guy who plays alone because all my old galo buddies abandoned this pre alpha version of a game it may be a nice idea in the short term. In the long term it will kill the game.
Mmmm I’m not exactly crying but I am disapointed honestly cause I usually play with 2 other people and, unfortunatly, while one can play with both me and the other guy we won’t be able to play together anymore.
I’m currently a Diamond 6 (Onyx in S1) and play with a Platinum (now also Diamond) and a Gold.
We don’t dominate or get dominated and in all seriousness there’s not been any CSR gain when we play together that could label our team as “system abusers.”
The Gold ranked player would probably be higher if he played by himself for a while but he doesn’t like playing solo MP much so we do what Halo players do and have fun together (in Ranked when we feel like it) by covering each other as much as we can (like a team is supposed to).
I guess we’ll have to take a few extra steps to be able to play again in ranked post update and hopefully we’ll be able to but there’s certainly both good and bad points about these changes.
Well the SBMM in social is dog doo doo so…. If social was connection based while prioritizing matching parties against parties, then you wouldn’t have all those issues in ranked. Yes I understand that on occasion I’m gonna get stomped by the occasional super sweaty pro gamer wannabe injecting gfuel into his corneas but the trade off is worth it.
Then if I want super tight skill based matchmaking I’ll go play ranked. And limiting the ranks that can play together is probably a good idea. And really low skilled players can do bot bootcamp if they need a break. Even higher skilled players do this.
LOL exploit the system playing with my friends. It’s fine they are adding it, I just won’t be able to play ranked with 4 people in the group I play with normally. We like BR starts, so ranked has been one of our fav playlists. Take that away, guess what, less halo, sidekick starts suck - cheater heaven. I’m sure 343 will eventually give us a dedicated BR start somewhere, who knows when. Swat is okay, BTB is just wasp fights anymore. Snipers sucks currently with their weapon choices. Rest of it is just filler crap or sidekick crap. It’s fine though, gamepass and it’s 2022, there’s like 138123 games released each year, more time for them I guess.
But I think it’s funny they focused on this. Still no ranked rejoin with all these crashes on PC. There’s clearly a way SOLO players can MANIPULATE their mmr so they match make against goldies, plats, and diamonds. Seen half a dozen 2200+ onyx players do it so far in season 2. Players using wall hack, aim bot - terrible anti cheat with no improvements. Those people will not be impacted by this - you know - the people 343 should actually be targeting.
I think for crossplay they should leave it as is. Solo/duo add it. Add a solo queue as well for those solo queue warriors that play multiplayer team based games alone for some weird reason.
@FathomKnight - why do you play crossplay and not solo/duo where I’m sure this “exploit” is less prevalent? It’s because you want to beat up on the goldies or lower too that queue up - don’t lie. Get off that high horse.

I’m Plat 2 play as a solo,drawn a few onyx ranks playing with Golds and they have completely dominated.sent them a message and most replied saying they team with lower rank friends cause they can farm kills for fun.
So I asked what happens when your friends rank up……two replies saying that when their friends play on their own they rank back down cause they r not very good !!!
