I got the halo 5 edition Xbox one for Christmas 2015. I’ve been playing it ever since. In the three months I’ve been playing, I have a total of five (5) DNFs. I try not to quit if I can help it. But recently, I’ve been banned from arena multiple times after I quit a single match. I quit once yesterday, and was banned after I completed another full match after the one I quit from. Same thing today. I played a match, quit, joined a new match, finished it, and then was told “the banhammer strikes” and was banned due to excessive quitting. Other people who have experienced this have upwards of ten DNFs within the last month of their playtime. I have a total of 5 quits, ever. I understand the principle 343 is trying to enforce, but I feel I am being banned unfairly considering how few matches I have left compared to many other players experiencing what I am dealing with. Is it not acceptable to leave, ever? In the past I thought excessive meant multiple occasions, but it seems now excessive means quit once and you’re banned. Am I doing something wrong? Is there anything I can do to stop this? I love halo and want to continue playing but if a single DNF is enough to get banned I may have to trade in halo for something a little less serious. Any advice?
Hi OP, please see the ban thread we have pinned at the top of the Halo 5 forums. Have a read over the first post and make a reply there if you still need further help
