Im bad

Hey guys I am really bad at aiming In Halo 5 Guardians. I was Hoping that I could get some tips

Practice shooting or mess around with your control settings until you feel comfortable with it

I guess I would watch some tip videos for Halo 5. However don’t think by just watching some videos your going to become instantly good at the game. It’s going to require play time, I’m sure you will eventually get the hang of it. Beat of luck man!

I’m always good target practice.

Play the story to get a feel for the weapons and controls. Find a sensitivity that suits you.
Stay away from super fiesta; it’ll just give you bad habits.
I took a several year hiatus from halo and was getting rocked almost every game. For me, playing actual war zone got me back into the swing of things; just practice and it’ll come naturally.

You know I’m really bad

Ok ok, jokes aside, best advice I can give you is just play the game more, I started pretty bad, then I continued playing it more then eventually got good, all it takes is just getting to know the game & how it plays

Practice practice and keep practicing that’s all I can say to become better

Playing any Halo game on Legendary, increases your aim massively. At least it did for me

watch trypal on Youtube and play alot of team snipers

First piece of advice: Do not watch footage of pro players for tips. There are no tips to be picked up. All it will do is convince you that there are two different versions of this game, or that pros are all cheaters.

Second piece of advice: If you’re really serious about improvement then do some research into the heavy aim phenomenon. There’s no point in chasing an unreachable goal if you think that heavy aim is a thing and if you think it may well be the cause of what you’re experiencing.

Third piece of advice: Getting better at something you enjoy or value is a worthy goal, but the key to happiness in Halo is to know to what degree improvement is possible, and to know when the law of diminishing returns begins to apply to your expenditure of time and effort. This game, like any game, should be enjoyable for any player, regardless of skill, regardless of time spent grinding, and whether you are in it for fun or for slog. Of course, that’s more ideal than reality, and if you find that your Halo experience consistently puts you on the wrong end of savagery and shutouts then you may be living much more of the reality rather than the ideal. At that point you can tough it out and hope that time will bring improvement, as others have suggested, or you can ask yourself some searching questions about why a developer would build a game so hard to be good at that you feel left behind. Or better yet, ask the developer those searching questions. I know I do.

Play some octagons with people around your rank. Dont try facing high ranks cus getting spawn killed wont help your aim.

Warm up with some SWAT, you’ll get better at locating and destroying brainpans.

Play assault magnums only and octagon to get a feel for your shot

Edit: I see you are new just keep playing and you will get better.

Took a peek at your game history and noticed you are playing a lot of social, btb, and the HCS list. As odd as it may sound, you need to play ranked slayer or firefight for a while. In HCS, BTB, Warzone, and the other social lists there is very little balance and it’s likely that you will be facing a highly skilled player. The most fair and balanced list in halo is just plain old slayer. Ranking isn’t perfect but it works pretty well and will let you face fair competition. Playing against better people is good only if you are competitive. Getting wrecked doesn’t make you better, getting some kills and learning what works is what makes you better. My only other tip is don’t ever chase people. They will be waiting around the corner nearly every time.

Practice some octagon with friends, play the game in general and find a sensivity and controls that fit you.
Play a lot of Slayer.
Try to not use the automatics ore use them less.
Find a strafe that is good for you and don’t strafe too hard otherwise you’re going to miss a lot of shots.
One thing that helped me a lot is to focus on the reticle of the weapon, not on the enemy, to be more accurate you just have to put your opponent inside that reticle.
Also, try to improve your positioning on the maps, usually a higher position gives you a better view on the enemy and more time to shoot at him before he gets to cover.
Those are the things that worked for me.

Put your sensitivity down to 2. Only thing that worked for me now I always go positive kd in every match unless theres severe lag.

You also can start out on max sensitivity and bump yourself down if it feels too fast for you.

I’m fairly bad myself. As many have said above, it’s just a matter practice, practice, and more practice.

Find a sensitivity that feels good (I use 4 horizontal, 2 vertical, seems faaaaairly standard for something to start with. Maybe 3-2 to work on fine tuning aim. Shotzzy, one of the more individually skilled Halo 5 players, uses 1 horizontal, 5 vertical, 5 aim acceleration… So don’t be afraid to get creative.

Regardless of sensitivity, the #1 way to get better is just to play as much as possible.

Keep playing.
You’ll get better in time with practice just like anything else in life.

heroic firefight will help, easier enemies to shoot
