Hey guys, remember me? I used to be on these forums every day, then I suddenly stopped. It’s been about 2 years. I don’t know how many people from 2 years ago would still be regulars on this forum, so maybe nobody knows me, but it’d be cool if that’s not the case. Some time before Halo 4 came out, my Xbox got stolen. I was an active member on this forum right up until the release of Halo 4, then I tried to cut myself off from anything Halo to avoid spoilers until I could get an Xbox again and a copy of Halo 4. That didn’t stop me from getting the gist of the plot spoiled anyway though.

Just a few weeks ago, my friend let me borrow his Xbox and Halo 4 because he got an Xbox One. I’ve been playing on one of the accounts on his xbox so I don’t have any Halo 4 data on my old account. I gotta say, Halo 4 is freaking awesome, and it’s been a LONG time coming. I’m not sure how I would rate it next to the classic gameplay style of the trilogy, but it is way less generic than I had feared it might be.

I’m not sure how active I’ll be on this forum now, maybe I’ll be here frequently, maybe this will be my only thread for another while(hopefully not another two years lol). I’m in college now and am tight as hell on money so I won’t be getting an Xbox One anytime soon, so once Halo 5 comes out, I’ll be backing off again. Until then, I’m going to be catching up on what I’ve missed.

From what I’ve seen from Halo 5, I’m really not sure what to think yet. At first I was really worried about it, then I saw one of the developer videos where Josh Holmes(that’s his name right?) said something about if zoom becomes necessary for competitive play, the game would be broken. That wasn’t the only detail, but the video generally changed my mind. If they pull it off, I think Halo 5 could really be a fitting evolution to the series that evolved the FPS genre on consoles. It also looks like they could mess it up really easily though. The increased mobility really does look awesome(that gun shaking while running animation looks horrible though).

Anyone else have a story to tell? Waypoint really looks different, I actually miss the dark blue.

It has dropped in active members in the general discussion area.

The release of MCC and Halo 5 Beta basically kinda off most of the kind fellows who read these topics(including me for a month).

Also, dark blue waypoint was laggy for me.

It is really pathetic how someone would steal your Xbox though. Nice to see that you are still a fan.

Welcome back (although I came onto these forums last month)! There is some activity around the H5 and MCC forums, but General Discussion seems to be deserted at this point, possibly due to choosing stuff to talk about being harder than H5 and MCC. In the H5 and MCC forums, you can basically bash H5 or MCC or defend them. Either way, welcome back, and I hope you’ll be active until H5 comes out at least.

Oh, and I think most of us prefer blue Waypoint. :wink:
