Then it is a lot worse off than what I’ve said.
Theres only one reason they still have the rights. The cash that flows from the newer gen of players unfortunately. Theyre used to being used like this
I"m ashamed that this is like the 3rd or 4th or so on topic about this… 343 messed up and they got critisized for it , boo hoo, man up and take it and learn from your mistakes.
That still doesn’t mean that infinite is a “true FTP game”.
I’m ashamed of all of the halo community, these hands are rated E for Everyone
Most really!?!?! You think most of the community is that extreme?
LOL…maybe chill out, and bring down the drama level a little bit.
Yes, those crossing the line were wrong for doing so, but let’s be honest, that’s far from being most of the community.
The Campaign is not free, you still have to pay for GamePass or Ultimate or the full $60 plus tax. MP is free for everyone on PC or Xbox but it is incredibly limited unless you pay extra money to unlock the full Multiplayer experience like the Battle Pass.
So to clarify, Halo Infinite is like… 35-40% free to play, the rest of the 65-60% will be dripfed over the next several months in the form of unnecessary cosmetics. Most likely a majority of it behind a pay wall.
Besides, with a track record like 343’s when it comes to Campaigns… I think maybe the Campaign should have been free and the Multiplayer should have costed money. But I guess we’ll find out if the Campaign is worth the money in a couple of days.
I’m actually very proud of the Halo community. Some handled it pretty bad with the threats but most of that is being used to distract from the real issue and to victimise 343 after handing out a half finished project with 6 years behind it already.
This has been a massive step in the right direction, people expressing themselves and criticising a product their not happy with, it’s productive. I think the gaming industry as a whole has it’s sheep jumping on the positivity train and anything negative said is “being toxic”. It’s how they want you to behave because this allows them to put out a bad product with no retaliation. I just see this as players finally having enough of that and letting a studio know.
Can’t wait to see where they go from here.
So you’re doing the exact thing that OP is saying is wrong, and making baseless accusations? Come on dude.
3 likes to my post to 0 on yours… nuff said
You mean my post that I just made? Are you actually mental? What you just said sounds entitled as hell too, just like OP said. Go somewhere.
Just a tip, you can check the store on the way point app and make purchases there.
(buying the currency doesn’t seem to work until you log into the game tho)
I’m ashamed to be a part of it. I assumed most Halo players were adults at this point not kids whining about digital clothes. It’s incredible.
B-b-but Reach had it all for Fre3
OMG!!
Please, please, please tell me what exactly was ripped away from you?
And please be just as if not more dramatic.
Monetization is impacting gameplay. Challenges are designed to be grindy, which encourages challenge focused gameplay or buying challenge swaps.
If think all of this stuff working this way is just a big coincidence, you are naive my friend. I stopped playing MP because of these issues. I actually try to do objectives but get paired with people who could care less.
Halo being FTP is a very low risk calculated gamble.
You may not care about digital clothing, and good for you on that, but revenue for this game is built on it. This was all part of the plan.
What a sad post OP.
The Halo community is ashamed of 343. This is their third attempt at Halo, with 6 years of development time, infinite budget from MS and look what we are dealing with:
- The most disgusting monetization scheme in gaming. Literally selling you playlists and challenge swaps.
- “Slayer might be feasible”
- Pitiful armor customization, no emblem customization, lame nameplates compared to MCC
- No forge
- No campaign co-op
- 10 maps total
- No classic game modes - no infection, no swat, no griffball, no shotty/snipers, no king of the hill
- Do vehicles even exist in this game?
- NO ARMOR UNLOCKS IN CAMPAIGN
- NO SOCIAL SYSTEMS - where are clans and lobbies?
10 NO firefight or co op pve mode
I’m ashamed that 343 spent what seems like 5 years developing a cash shop/monetization scheme and gutting a finished Halo game to sell back to us in parts.
don’t get me wrong, death threating the dev team is a aweful thing to do… but at the same time;
343 has butchered halo since 4, and ya know… the community gave them gentle criticism. 343 made halo worse with 5 and it was clear that they weren’t listening, so everyone got waay more clear with the criticisms. for SIX YEARS there’s been pages and pages of what the community wants of infinite, and 343 said they were listening. and honestly, i don’t care that ‘it’s a beta’ it really is not, and 343 listened to NOTHING. they lied and spit in the face of everyone who was giving advice for SIX LONG YEARS. honestly i don’t blame people for the uproar, 343 kinda deserve it, for not listening with the flop of 4, nor the flop of 5. there’s a pattern here people. open your eyes and realize 343 is leagues more greedy, deceitful, and non caring than you think
Dont forget they ignored 2 flights of feedback. None of the stuff being asked for is new or suprising. 343 ignored us.
true dat, the flights as well for Infinite. they may not have been long, but they were long enough for people to give a lot of feadback… 343 did -Yoink!- all with it, and promptly made things worse
They spent the flights figuring out how to push through the greediest “free” to play monetization system in gaming.
“Feasibility of slayer playlist” - made me want to puke reading that comment from 343.
