How does anyone equate what you said to baseless allegations?
It’s one of the most mild observations of this heated topic I’ve seen.
Beats me i don’t see how that’s an allegation to anything… even the possible allegation of “343 is not totally innocent” is at most an opinion as stated by “I’m not sure…” Maybe people who complain about reading comprehension have thier own reading comprehension problems and are just projecting it on others to justify their complaint.
I’ve not seen this toxic side of the community that attacking the dev’s and if there is, they are a complete minority. But we cannot the defend the dev’s when it comes to their business practices. Does everyone remember when Cyberpunk came out and the complete hell that followed it?
When it comes to the way 343i has treated the players I would say it borders on false advertising. We have video footage, forum posts, etc of them saying stupid things like. “The body of customization we have one day one ensures that there will be millions of customization on the battlefield.” - “We are coming at this from a PLAYER FIRST MENTALITY.” - “A lot of our stuff is unlocked through PLAYING THE GAME.” I will not defend a company that has straight up lied to it’s community. Player first mentality. Pfffff. You mean MONEY FIRST mentality.
Ske7ch’s reply on reddit was 343i upset that they are in too deep to correct their mistakes. The fact they are saying that they can’t just make a slayer playlist because of the challenges should tell you that they have long since abandon the player and instead care about the bottom line. The fact challenge swaps exist shows that they knew they’d design the challenges to feel impossible so you would be digging into your wallet.
We cannot defend companies like this anymore. They took a much beloved franchise, gutted it and gave us the bare minimum. We as consumers/fans/gamers DESERVE BETTER!
Merely implying that 343 might have some burden of responsibility for eliciting criticism and backlash is making a baseless accusation?
Not eve directly saying that but implying it?
If anything I’ve seen is toxic, it’s this overwrought concern trolling making a false equivalency of legitimate consumer complaints with doxing and threats.
People are going to call out the bad decisions 343 is making. They’re even going to make fun of them. But the extreme majority of what I’ve seen is valid and legitimate criticism that has been stated in a civil way.
The monetization is horrid and.to.top it off the in game store doesn’t even look like a 6 yr development one. It looks like someone copy and pasted Anthems.
i can confirm he’s a halo vet he ran my **** in a 2v2 tourney
I see it this way.
- Constructive criticism is important and this game is in dire need of it. It needs to be kept civil.
- Gaslighting and criticizing critics of the game needs to stop. It needs to be kept civil.
I feel this way too.
Keep randomly attacking community members because in your very small world you somehow think that will make Halo better then I guess.
You are the problem, your entire attitude is the problem. Maybe as an adult with a job and other interests and hobbies I have bigger things to do then post on a Halo forum attacking other community members because I’m unhappy with the last Halo games quality.
You don’t even know my opinions or even my history of sharing feedback and you’re telling me that I’m the reason Halo is bad. You must live in a very small world sir, one without much self awareness and where you don’t look much in the mirror.
That or you’re very young and haven’t learned that yet, which I suspect is the case.
I wish you had to take a basic test in order to use the Internet sometimes it would solve a lot of problems and weed out people like you.
Lol not from a Seatle based company, their feelings are hurt and everyone should stop complaining cause of it lol.
I remember being a turd to people when I was young on the COD forums. We have a strong influx of young players with the Free to Play model and the marketing toward younger people.
Young people do live in a smaller world and have less perspective. My question is do we deal with it in any way or is the best method to ignore it?
suppose compassion is the answer and to understand that those people don’t necessarily even understand what they’re doing, but man it’s so hard to be compassionate sometimes.
All we can do is hope that one day these people grow up a little and self reflect.
aye, understood. Keeping level headed and hoping things improve in the future is something I wil do.
I like the gameplay but ashamed of everything else that 343 did. You had it right with MCC but felt the need to f… everything up.
They came out and said this morning that they won’t have campaign mission selection in the final build dropping tomorrow. God forbid you miss a skull or some other collectible in the campaign cause you’ve got to restart the entire thing to collect it.
They literally had years of feed back and information they could pull from through MCC… If they spent 6 years ignoring the information supplied and still provided this then it is clearly malicious and greed… And honestly get what the community is providing as criticism. If you worked 6 years on a project for your job and ignored statistics to make a successful product and provided a sub-par bare bones pile you would be fired…
But the hatred is what i am trying to stop…
Stop hating people. Critisism is fine… hate is not
So the game gets released tomorrow and I haven’t heard anything off 343 about the release; a blog, a video, somebody saying hey.
When does the party start…
Beginning to think I’ve upset them for suggesting an uprising and they’ve cancelled my invitation!
How about you edit you’re response one more time.
