Look, i know the game has not been shown very much but i was watching the first look trailer on youtube and was pausing the video multiple times to see the different angles they showed Cheif. One in particular stood out. Go to 3:43 and pause the video Cheif should be standing there shooting his BR now look down torwards his butt (i know that sounds funny but grow up lol) but the glowing pack that was on your back while playing halo reach is on cheifs back…This worries me. Tell me what you think…

Frank has already said on NeoGaf that armor abilities will return. How and to what purpose, we don’t know. You can also watch the trailer and at some point in the left hand corner you see a jetpack. So yeah, maybe they’ll do AAs better than Reach? Until I have the game I won’t know.
I’m looking forward to just what 343i would do for their take on the evolution of AA’s. Myself, I don’t view them as a game breaking addition, i’ve embraced them and used them. I did notice that the model for the Spartan IV shown, the one crouching backwards; The Armor components on the waist match the profile of the Power pack on Chief’s back in the clip, I could see that armor peice as the place the Power pack is mounted.

god THATS DISSAPOINTING im starting to consider revoking my pre-order i know its to early and there has not been much to see yet but thats irritating we dont need another reach have they not learned from Reach? Im absolutley fine with sprint but jet pack and all that is a NO if they want this game to be good…

First of all, I’m not your Son, and I’m probably older than you. Second, it’s on Neogaf he stated it like Monday when all the info was released everyone on there was talking about it, maybe when I get some free time I’ll go back through the HaloGaf Community thread and find it, but like I’m telling you all he said was “AAs will be back” or something of the sort, just one sentence.
It may just be equipment, just a more visual representation of it, to give a bit more of a clue. Then again it might be armor abilities.

yeah,it is extremely dissapointing, I had little to no hope for this game, mostly because reach was a piece of -Yoink-, and now i have zero hope on this game, it is dead.
What happened to going back to Halo’s roots like they said they were going to?
Well, if they want to bring back Reach crap into the new trilogy then thats their choice, but it definately won’t bring the people that were loyal to Halo up until Reach back…which if you weren’t aware, is 100,000 people…

Chill, dude… I was kidding. Did he mean AA is in the engine? Or did he say ‘Armor Abilities’?

Your exactly right remember when they said the TU for reach will be more classic we have removed AAs and Bloom? well im pretty damn. shur there is 1 PLAYLIST that has no bloom but STILL armor abilities i had high hopes but they slowly but painfully are going down…

Yeah, why do you think i don’t have reach anymore.
They do not go through with promises.
and unfortunately now Halo 4 has turned into being lke COD (having little to no changes,which i would like if it was coming from a Halo2/3 standpoint) or being like COD (Custom loadouts, perks, etc.)
I would really like if 343i would make Halo 4 like Halo2/3, but it appears it is just going to be Reach2.0

Yeah, we’ve all seen that, but don’t jump to conclusions just yet. It could (unlikely) be a placeholder, but other than that, you’ll never know whether it’s a completely different form of game enhancing abilities, or simply improved versions of reach AAs.

The more competitive playlists will probably have no AA’s and I’m sure if they throw in the Reach vote system there will be gametypes. MLG, for one will have this 100% so you and your MLG try-hards can -Yoink!- on eachothers faces there, or go play the older games.
