Does anyone else think this will happen? Even though Halo 4 deserves a 9-10 rating?
- As much as we all love Halo, we don’t know what it deserves yet.
- IGN is actually pretty damn favorable towards the Halo series
- BLOPS has nothing to do with Halo
We don’t know yet, I am going to reserve my judgement until the game comes out.

Nobody has played either of them. Halo 4 may deserve a 10, it may deserve a 5. We don’t know yet.

also I really couldn’t care less how other people rated the game as long as I enjoy it.
To be fair BLOPS2 is looking like the best CoD since WaW in my opinion.
But im sure Halo 4 will atleast hit a 9 with IGN this year

It wouldn’t surprise me. But I wont think about what halo 4 deserves for a rating till after I play it.
Seeing as we don’t know how either game will fare this seems irrelevant.
First off, who cares what IGN rates it. Secondly, why post hypotheticals, and how do you know H4 deserves above a 9? Last time I checked, it wasn’t out yet.
No halo 4 looks amazing and it will score at least a 9. Black ops 2 however looks amazing ( i hate mw2, mw3, but treyarcs games actually imrpove, get better, and are fun thats my OPINION). So i expect both to be really good and both to have good scores.
All I can say is count my vote for Halo 4 GOTY.

I don’t think neither game really deserves a rating of 9-10. The ratings have been twisted out of shape. These days anything below 9.5 is considered bad, 8 is considered not worth buying even though it’s fairly good if you rate from one to ten. In reality, 10 should only be given to games that really do something revolutionary and 9 should be given to really innovative games.
Neither Halo 4 nor Black Ops II does either of these. Both games are just the multiplayer FPS games of this console generation in a nutshell. In other words, they have nothing truly innovative, they’re both just AAA games doing what’s currently popular in the FPS genre.
how do you know that halo 4 deserves a 9 out 10 when you or anybody hasnt played the game fully? though it looks like a great game. I really don’t mean to be rude but blind praise is just as ignorant as blind hate.
Why do you care? Are you that insecure about what other people think of what you play or something? Don’t let what other people say ruin your experience with the game.
Let the time you spend with Halo 4 ruin it instead. 
Like I care what they think, Halo will always be a 10 out of 10 for me.
Who cares what ign rates halo 4 as. If and when blops 2has a higher rating, I can see people making a thread about it. It’s always the same, just like the preorders.
I don’t trust IGN’s ratings. Especially not after giving Modern Warfare 2 a 9.7/10 and giving Mass Effect 3 an undeserved 10/10 and treating any dissenters like crap. They will give whoever pays them the most the higher scores.
It’s best to trust your own judgments or the non-industry-aligned reviewers. Or better yet, trust the gamers who have played the games themselves. The so-called “gaming media” is too corrupt to be trusted. But that is my opinion, of course.
