I loved this game. I enjoyed it. I defended it. But I am not going to contribute to Microsoft’s bottom line for one more second by contributing even one player to this game’s player base. I was just told by a MS rep, essentially, that I should not play the game just because I was justifiably disgruntled. I was polite and courteous the whole time. I explained why I felt shafted. I never raised my voice or insulted anyone. I said how much I loved this game and just felt like there should be some recourse for map pass purchasers. I also mentioned that my best friend still didn’t have a specialization code.
He said, "If you’re that upset, why play it?"
This is the last straw.
It’s not the game… I love the game. It’s the absolutely atrocious customer support from both Waypoint and Microsoft. Even when you disagree with a customer, you NEVER tell them to G T F O essentially. That’s just bad business. Especially not one who bought two map pack passes and preordered the game.
I am grateful to all the cool people I’ve played with over the years in various Halo games and for the thoughtful, kind community members here. I wish you well. And thanks to BS Angel for trying her best to get things sorted out. Your efforts were appreciated. Happy holidays to all.
I fully expect plenty of “good riddance” and “you’re a whiner” and “you already paid for it, you’re stupid if you leave now” comments. Rest assured I won’t be here to read them.
I’ve added you to my list of people “quitting”, so I can periodically check on your account to make sure you follow through. At some point I’ll post the list of people who actually “quit” vs those just seeking attention.

We’re doing our best to blend in with our surroundings. Duh.

You should have told that MS employee to go -Yoink- himself and ask for the manager. Because at that point you were screwed anyway so you should have just yelled at them till they hung up. Lol that right there would have made you feel better.
I got a bug in my soup at a restraunt, I was going to tell people to avoid that restraunt, but by the logic in this thread I would have looked like I was viaing for attention :’( thanks for saving me guys.

Hmmmm, I’m pretty sure what you described is not in any way how his situation went down. Try harder.
