If you're not bouncing, you're not playing Halo

Think of doom.

Think of qauke.

Think of the speed runs.

What do they do? Momentum based bouncing

Halo has always had this. In infinite for some reason it’s the lowest/slowest it’s even been but it’s still there.

The fastest way around anything in halo is chaining bounce jumps. A simple example would be you starting on a platform. You then jump and land in the middle of a ramp. Once on the ramp you have two options. A regauler bounce jump or spring jump. Both require you to press the jump button as soon as you hit the ramp. Once you do this and hold forward you will launch yourself. The very next platform has to be where you can jump again as soon as you land. If you go for something to high you will need to crouch jump it or clamber. If you keep your routes to maximize your bounce jumps you will move faster than anyone on the map. This takes skill because you have to fight like this too. If you want a true chain you will do these bounce jumps without breaking eye contact with the enemy.

This game was designed to appeal to all types of shooter players so the natrual reaction would just be to Sprint everywhere or use the Sprint slide meta.

Bouncing is the true meta.
