As much as i hated the REQ system in halo 5, at least i could use gameplay to get them. While the shop in infinite was, unfortunately, a guarentee do to the f2p multiplayer, it didnt need to be this aggressive. I have 3 possible ideas i think could lessen the issue.

My personal favorite idea, let us earn credits in game. Obviously this would make the store less of a nuisance, while purchasing credits would clearly be faster, it wouldnt be the only choice. Personally id like it to be with each game played but that would be to much for the corporate overlords, so i think giving a minimum of 25 credits for every weekly challenge completed and 50 for event challenges would be acceptable. This would cap us on how much we coupd earn per week, thus incentivize purchasing more, while allowing people with enough dedication to save up for items they really want.

Add more free items in game, honestly this should happen anyways. After the campaign “armor lockers” were shown to not contain armor i was shocked, why would they name it this if there wasnt armor in them?

Leaset likely but itd be nice, lower the cost of in store items. A full armor set should be at most 5$, honestly it shouldnt cost money anyway but theyd never pass on it. Ffs a set of chibi emblems is 5$, those at most should be a single dollar.
Look 343, i know Microsoft is forcing you to make this store, or at least i hope it was just them forcing you, but this is too far. What ever happened to the waypoint article, that you deleted a little while ago, that said there would be tons of customization day 1? Why lie to us?
Edit: for anyone who would like to see the deleted article here is an archive link. Just put an “h” at the front to complete it

Predatory LMAO
You don’t have to buy any of it. It’s not predatory, you just have no self control.
If you arent gonna add anything to the conversation then shove off.

I agree, in other games like Fortnite and Apex you can gain the premium currency just by completing the battle pass. You could either fund buying the next pass or buy something from the store.

“* Healthy engagement is paramount . We want everyone to play the game in a healthy manner that they enjoy. We’re not trying to build a grind-machine that burns everyone out in an attempt to get more game time from them. Halo Infinite needs to be a place where we all look forward to spending time.”
lol did they really delete that thread? i think that says it all really. I’d be playing the game right now if I could earn credits in game that I could eventuallyy get a cool skin i like. challenges should unlock credits.
If im not playying the game all day, then I wont level up the battlepass and I will have no incentive to actually purchase the battllepass until I’ve actually leveled it up especially since all the cool stuff is at the end.
I think as time goes on, and more battle passes releases they willl make it quicker to unlock so that new players will buy all the battlepasses if they can quickly complete them. Or maybe 343 are foolish enough to think new players a year from now will pay to level up their battlepasses that they have no chance of completing naturally…
these battlepasses should be easy to unlock so people can enjoy customization. people payed money for it. 30 hours of a players time should unlock all that stuff. If 343 want players to still be engaged after battlepass completion then add earnable credits for that “grind” dont lock the battlepass away that takes months to experience some decent customization.
343 need to understand the value of people simply playing their game that improves matchmaking for paying customers. people arent going to pay if their matches are terrible. things are fine now, but if the population gets low enough where matchmaking suffers (due to people quitting over content restriction that rich people get to play with first), then say goodbye to your whales.
